Nebraska may be perfect so far but they really haven’t beaten anyone of note (sorry Ducks fans).
Just how good their season is going to be will likely be determined over the next two weeks as they play Wisconsin and Ohio State both on the road. Win both and we might be talking playoff.

The Badgers are just 2-2 in the conference thanks to losses against heavyweights Michigan and Ohio State.
This week will likely determine whether they have a shot at the conference title game as another loss, especially to a perfect division foe would be lethal.
They could easily run the table after this week.
Nebraska Cornhuskers
The Huskers can only beat the teams on their schedule so you can’t criticize too harshly that their 7-0 looks a little soft.
The beat Oregon in week 2 and nobody would have expected that program would have gone into a tailspin.
Nebraska has a solid offense with good leadership from senior QB Tommy Armstrong.
They do not fling the ball all over the yard but it still looks like he will put up his best season yet.
The running game is good enough to give this team really good balance. They are tough to defend.

I don’t know if they still use the term blackshirts but the defense has been really good this season. In their conference games they have not yielded more than 22 points and they are only giving up 17ppg on the season.
The problem is that they are not spectacular enough on this side to really be considered a national title contender.
They are good but they don’t really scare anybody.
Wisconsin Badgers
Wisconsin lost by just 7 points to both Michigan and Ohio State, the latter in overtime.
It is actually amazing how close they were able to play both given their offensive struggles this season.
It seems hard to believe but the Badgers are only 65th in the nation running the ball and even lower than that in total yards and points.
They have struggled more than anyone can remember on the offensive line and their quarterback play has been subpar at best. Maybe Alex Hornibrook is starting to figure things out, maybe.

The defense has been the thing that has kept them relevant.
That is nothing new but with a new coordinator and never blessed with elite talent it would have been no surprise if they were not as good as they are.
Quite simply they are probably recruit for recruit the best defense in America – fourth in points allowed and 9th in yards. Nebraska will have to earn it if they are going to keep winning.

This line is a definite referendum on where these teams are really at. Nebraska is #6 in the nation but they are still significant road underdogs.
I think they are justified to be in that role but it is still interesting. I think the number is also in place for the action is pretty even and not a true line.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Nebraska +8.5
Despite the above I am falling for it.
The Huskers are definitely steadier at the QB position with a senior in Armstrong and it is not like they don’t know how to play defense too.
Look for them to be just a little bit better and pull the outright upset. It is their turn to go to the B10 title game.
