This week ten matchup will see the Connecticut Huskies hosting the Navy Midshipmen. The season is basically over for the Huskies given their record, but Navy still has a chance to compete for the AAC title game.

The last meeting between these two teams came back in 2016. The Midshipmen won this game 28-24.
Navy Midshipmen
The Midshipmen are on a roll right now, winning their last four games in a row. They are now 3-1 in the American Athletic Conference and will be looking to keep pace with SMU (the team they play in two weeks) and Memphis (their only loss this season). They most recently beat Tulane 41-38.
In the game against Tulane, the Navy run game was out in full force. They ran the ball 55 times, gaining 386 yards on the ground. This also was an average of 7 yards per carry.
The Navy rushing game is practically their only source of offense. Running the triple option can be dangerous because if they get behind, they have no passing game to move down the field faster.
Despite this, the run game for this Midshipmen has proven to be extremely effective this season. They are number one in the country, averaging 351.1 yards per game.
Compared to their passing game, where they rank 128th in the country an average 89.4 yards per game.
They also have been able to score at will this season. They are averaging 37.9 points per game and have only scored less than 30 points once this season.

On the other side of the ball, the defense has for the most part been extremely solid. They rank in the top 30’s for most of the important categories. The only area they struggle in is defending the pass and they still rank 39th allowing 200.7 yards per game.
They are especially good in limiting their opponents from scoring. They allow 19.3 points per game. In just two games this season have the Midshipmen allowed more than 30 points, so they should be able to shut down a weak Huskies offense.
Connecticut Huskies
The huskies finally ended their six-game losing streak when they beat UMass 56-35. This was the battle of two of the worst teams in the country, but the Huskies proved they can beat the bottom dwellers.
This was a non-conference game, so the Huskies are still 0-4 in the AAC. There is pretty much no chance for them to make a bowl game, so at the very least they will be playing to spoil their opponents season.
The offense for the Huskies looked very good in the game with the Minutemen, but that goes to show how bad UMass really is. The Huskies put up a total of 542 yards of offense, by far their most this season. In reality, they average just 344.4 yards per game, which has them ranked at 110th.
Their rushing offense racked up 329 yards on UMass on 39 carries. This was an average of 8.4 yards per carry. Again, this performance still does nothing to support the Huskies case against Navy.
On the season, the Huskies average just 21.6 points per game. This ranks 112th in the country and includes the 56 points they put up on the Minutemen.
The defense continued to play terrible even against UMass. They gave up 35 points when their average is 37.8 points per game allowed.
The Huskies are allowing 197 yards on the ground per game, 103rd in the country. If they can slow down this Navy rushing attack even a little, they might have a chance to keep this game closer then most people think.

Free Week 10 NCAA Football Pick
Even with this being a potential look ahead game for Navy, they will go in and crush this Huskies team.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: UNDER 54.5
I think Navy will try to control the clock and shorten this game considerably. I will take the under in this an expect the Huskies to go back to their old ways of barely being able to score.
