The Bulldogs have won the last three meetings in a row. Last year they won 28-13.
Mississippi State Bulldogs
The Bulldogs have now lost three games in a row, after getting blasted by LSU last week. The final score to this game was 36-13. Their season has really fallen off the rails an all they can play for now is a bowl game.
This offense has just not been able to get things going. They are averaging 24.9 points per game. In four SEC games however, their scoring is down to 18.5 points per game.
They do not have one area of their offense where they excel. If you had to pick their offensive strength, it would be their rushing game. They are averaging 179.1 yards per game on the ground and rank 52nd in the country.
They are also struggling to find a quarterback to stick with. It feels like they switch quarterbacks every week, so who knows what we will get from the guy under center.

Defensively, their numbers are pretty much all below average. They allow 28.4 points per game, 76th in the country. Their passing defense is 87th in the country, allowing 244.4 yards per game and their run defense allows 152.6 yards per game, 67th in the country.
Specifically against SEC opponents, all of the averages just mentioned increase. Their points allowed per game increases to 31.3. Passing yards allowed increases to 271.8 and rushing yards per game increasing to 162.3. These are the stats against overall better competition, so trusting the Bulldogs defense is a hard thing to ask.
Texas A&M Aggies
The Aggies are not having a good season either, but they have not yet lost to a team they were not supposed to. A&M is coming off a narrow win against Ole Miss. The score to this game was 24-17. Strangely enough, they have not won back to back games this season. However, coming back home, this is a good spot for them to take one step closer to a bowl game.
Against the Rebels, this offense was anemic at best. They only gained 340 yards of total offense and were out-gained by 65 yards. Quarterback, Kellen Mond struggled again, completing 16 of his 28 passing, throwing for 172 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
The defense for the Aggies has still be solid despite getting torched by Alabama. Even against Clemson at the beginning of the year, A&M held the Tigers to 24 points. Against SEC teams, they are allowing 29.8 points per game. That said, the Bulldogs have too many questions on the offensive side of the ball, so I like the Aggies to have a ton of success keeping them at bay.

Free Week 9 NCAA Football Pick
I think this is a game that the Aggies will win. They have the better quarterback and regardless of their record, Kyle Field is a tough place to play. I like the Aggies to win this game and for the defense to be the difference.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: UNDER 50.5
Mississippi State’s offense has declined considerably since starting to play SEC foes. I like the under in this game as the defense for the Aggies will be able to shut down the Bulldogs.
