This week ten matchup will see the Maryland Terrapins hosting the Michigan Wolverines.
Both teams have long been eliminated from the Big Ten title game, but Maryland is still fighting to become bowl eligible. They will need to win three of their last four games to even make it to a bowl game, so at this point it seems very unlikely they will be playing football in December.
Michigan has won four years in a row, including a 42-21 win in 2018.
Michigan Wolverines
The Wolverines got a huge win last week over Notre Dame to become bowl eligible. They also basically ruined any chance for the Fighting Irish to make an argument for the College Football Playoff. Under Jim Harbaugh, the Wolverines have still struggled in meaningful games, so it was nice to finally see him notch a win over a good opponent.

Despite a 45 point performance against Notre Dame, the offense for the Wolverines has still been lackluster. They average 31 points per game, which ranks 54th in the country.
Their passing offense ranks 75th in the country as they are averaging 224.6 yards per game. Their rushing offense gains an average of 173.1 yards per game, yet still is ranked 58th in the FBS.
Against Big Ten opponents, their points scored per game is slightly down to 27.8. The only time they really have had a ton of offensive success was when they played Rutgers and Illinois. Take out those teams and they scored 15 points on average against Wisconsin, Iowa and Penn State.
Defensively is where the Wolverines look to dominate every week. They are allowing 18.4 points per game this season, which ranks 16th in the country. However, this game against Maryland is on the road where they have allowed 29.3 points per game in just three road games.
Maryland is by no means a great team so the Wolverines should be able to slow them down. The one thing to be careful about is Michigan tends to let teams back into games, so the back door will always be open for the opponent to cover.
Maryland Terrapins
The Terrapins are having a horrific season even after starting out the year 2-0. They were certainly overvalued through the first couple games of the season and now find themselves fighting for a chance to play in a bowl game.
Maryland is now on a three-game losing and have not won a game since the first week of October. They were just blown out by Minnesota, so hosting Michigan just spells trouble.

Looking at the Maryland offense, there is not much to like. Again, the first two weeks of the season, they looked great, outscoring their opponents 142 to 20. From week three until now, they have been outscored 212 to 117. On the season, their stats show they average 32.4 points per game. However, this is very misleading as in five Big Ten games, they average 20 points per game.
The defense has also been shredded for the majority of the year. Overall, they allow 29 points per game. Once again, this does not tell the whole story, as they have allowed 38.4 points per game against Big Ten opponents. They have also allowed 50+ points in two games this season.
Now Michigan’s offense is not as prolific as Penn State’s, but the Terrapins really struggle to defend the pass, so the Wolverines should be able to sling the ball around.

Free Week 10 NCAA Football Pick
Michigan is still fighting to play in the best bowl game they can, so they should come into this game hungry after a huge win against Notre Dame last week.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: OVER 56
With the way the Wolverines let teams back into games, especially on the road, I have to lean to the over in this contest. I think their offense will be able to score plenty, but it will be their defense that may allow some late touchdowns to push this game over the total.
