This week three matchup features the Cincinnati Bearcats out of the American and Miami (Ohio) out of the MAC.
These teams last met in 2018. The Bearcats won this game 21-0, but failed to cover the number.
Miami (Ohio) Redhawks
The Redhawks picked up their first win of the season last week when they beat down Tennessee Tech by a score of 48-17. This game was over by halftime, but now the Redhawks will get a real fight.
Offensively, they totaled 349 yards. However, they are ranked 117th in the country in total yards, averaging 297 per game.
They do not exactly have a strength on offense, averaging 172.5 passing yards per game and 124.5 rushing yards per game. This will be a huge problem as I do not see how they will be able to move the ball.
Their quarterback, Brett Gabbert, has only thrown for 338 yards in total and just 2 touchdowns. Their running back situation is worse as their leading rusher is Tyre Shelton. He has 69 rushing yards in their first two games combined and has yet to score a touchdown.
Defensively, the Redhawks were shredded by Iowa in week one, but played much better against Tennessee Tech. Iowa seems to be better than Cincinnati, and Cincinnati is better than Tennessee Tech, so I expect a sub-par performance in this game.
They are allowing 373.5 yards per game, which ranks 71st in the country. I see them getting gashed all game long by an offense looking to bounce back from a horrible loss.
The Bearcats picked up a decent win over UCLA in week one, but everything quickly fell apart in week two when they took on Ohio State. The Buckeyes crushed them 42-0.
The offense must have stayed in Cincinnati last week because they were shut down from start to finish. They now rank 124th in the country, averaging 12 points per game.
The offense generated just 273 total yards against the Buckeyes. Their quarterback, Desmond Ridder, threw for 166 yards and had one interception as well. It is worth noting that Ridder was injured last week against the Buckeyes, but reports say he is very likely to suit up in this upcoming game.
Rushing wise, they were led by Tavion Thomas, who had 58 yards on 11 carries. Their rushing offense now averages 141 yards per game and is 83rd in the country.
There is no denying that the defense looked absolutely horrendous. They allowed 508 yards in total. The ground really did them in as they allowed 270 yards on the ground. Facing the Redhawks should give them the confidence to bounce back, but another day like this and Miami (Ohio) might be able to hang around.

Free Week 3 NCAA Football Pick
Cincinnati is a better team then what they showed last week and I think they win this game easily against the Redhawks.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: UNDER 49
I do not think the Redhawks will be able to score much and that leads me to taking the under in this game.
