Indiana had their shot against Ohio State. Now they have to rebound in a classic letdown spot.
Maryland is one of the most interesting teams in the Big Ten this season. I am not sure how good or bad they really are. This will help.
Both teams can get the offense going so maybe we get an unexpectedly fun one here.
Maryland Terrapins
The Terps were blown out in their opener, which is was a bit of a shock. So have been back-to-back wins over Minnesota and Penn State.
In the wins, Taulia Tagovailoa has proven that his brother is not the only legit QB in the family. He has made a nice recovery since throwing three picks vs. Northwestern to a 6/1 ratio since.
Senior RB Jake Funk is already having his best season today. He rushed for more than 200 yards against Minnesota. Not sure where that came from but he could be a factor in this one.
The Maryland defense needs to be better if they are going to compete in this one. Indiana can pile up the points and yards.
Maryland may be alright but they also got Minny and Penn State at the right moments. If they win here I will be impressed.
Indiana Hoosiers
Man I really wanted Indiana to win last week. It just would have been so great to see Ohio State take a fall like that. Now the true test, getting back up after you fall.
Michael Pennix outplayed Justin Fields last week, there is no other way to look at it. Indiana could not run the ball though and that might have been their downfall.
The defense was able to pick off Fields three times which might have cost him the Heisman. If they can do the same to Taulia this one could be an easy win for IU.
Indiana is a great story this season but they have to finish strong to make it real. Then they can really start building something.
