The Bulldogs are on a roll. They do not have any high profile wins but they have won six in a row.
UTEP is one of the worst programs in the country. They are generally not competitive and this would be a stretch.

This is a big line for a team like Louisiana Tech on the road. Probably a pass but they can cover here.
Louisiana Tech Bulldogs
I know I said that LT does not have high profile wins but their defeat of Southern Miss last week was big in Conference USA. They scored 21 in the fourth quarter to get a 15 point win.
Lousiana Tech has a nicely balanced offense that should have success against the Miners. Quarterback J’Mar Smith has saved his best play for his last season in Shreveport.
RB Justin Henderson is having a nice season too. He has rushed for more than 100 yards in back to back games and already has 11 touchdowns on the season.
The defense has been solid giving up just 24ppg. I am not sure that is a number that UTEP can really get close to.

I hate looking too closely at big road favourites but the Miners are just so bad this season and the Bulldogs are actually pretty good.
UTEP Miners
UTEP started the season with an FCS win but since then they have not gotten any closer than 10 points against FBS competition. Man do I miss the days of Jordan Palmer.
The offense is terrible, scoring only 17ppg. That is a decent quarter for some of the elite teams in the game. They run it better than they throw it but it is all relative.
With so much emphasis on the passing game nationwide, it is rare to see a team struggle in that are as much as UTEP. They have more interceptions (5) than TD passes (3) on the season.
The defense is modestly better than the offense but that is going to only help the Miners so much. It is not like they are going to force a lot of turnovers to keep themselves in the game.
