Kentucky might be the most interesting program in the conference right now. Imagine if they could find a quarterback.
Mizzou is showing some positive growth early on under their new coach…and they appear to have their quarterback of the future.
This one should be competitive. Kentucky is hardly an intimidating favorite.
Kentucky Wildcats
Kentucky has won their last two games by a combined score of 58-9. That may look like what Clemson does in one game but the Wildcats have been impressive on defense of late.
The game before the defense got a little exposed against Ole Miss in a one-point loss and with a little luck, they could have beaten Auburn. It is not a stretch to say this team could be 4-0. Really!!
And that is with one of the worst passing offenses in the nation. The only good thing you can say about Terry Wilson is that he is careful with the ball.
He can run though and combined with Christopher Rodriguez Jr the Wildcats are gaining almost two hundred yards per game on the ground.
As long as they keep up their sterling defense this is a team that can be in any SEC game. Maybe even with Alabama.
Missouri Tigers
Mizzou got their first win of the season last week, surprising LSU. This was no fluke either, they outgained and held the other Tigers to no points in the fourth quarter.
Key to the win was an otherworldly performance by freshman quarterback Connor Bazelak. He threw for over 400 yards with 4 TDs and no interceptions. LSU is down this season but that is still very impressive.
Missouri was also able to move the ball on the ground with Larry Rountree III rushing for 119 yards. They are going to need to be somewhat balanced against Kentucky.
The Wildcats are really good in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Mizzou might be able to stand up to that but winning at home is going to be tough. .

Free Week 8 NCAA Football Pick
Kentucky is one of the hardest teams to handicap, their defense has literally won them two games. Most teams don’t get one in a season.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Kentucky -4.5
This looks like a matchup where as long as they don’t beat themselves they add another W. It could be a of the three point variety but I am willing to bet they can stretch it out.
Mizzou is better than I thought but at the same time you are buying high if you grab them this week. Home field is not what it used to be.
