Two teams from the SEC East will be battling on Saturday when Kentucky is on the road to face off with Florida.
This is a highly anticipated game for a lot of reasons. A loss for either of these teams would likely end any of their chances of making it to the conference championship game.
The kickoff is set for 7:00 EST from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and I would expect the swamp to be just as raucous as it was last week when they hosted the Utes.
Florida opened up as a 5.5-point favorite and that number is now up to 6 with a total that has stayed right around 51-51.5.
Coming into play, the Wildcats are ranked as the #20 team in the nation while the Gators come in at #12.
Kentucky Wildcats
Kentucky got the job done in their first cupcake game of the season, but there are still plenty of questions about this team regarding that game.
The score of 37-13 might indicate that it was a blowout from start to finish, but that simply was not the case as the game was competitive for a while until the better team just took control.
It might not make sense to knock a team who won by 24 points, but it was very clear that the Wildcats did not play their best brand of football and that will not be acceptable when they hit the road to face a tough and well-coached Florida team.
Will Levis was mostly sharp last time out, but he did have an interception that would have most football fans scratching their head. When you look at him, it is hard to knock his physicality, arm strength, or raw talent, but his decision-making has not always been the best and it would be nice to see him clean that up in his second season with Kentucky.
Not that it really mattered against the RedHawks, but a major thing to keep an eye on for this program is the absence of star running back Chris Rodriguez. He is a huge part of this offense and it will be interesting to see if this group can pull off a win in an environment like this without him in the backfield.
Florida Gators
Florida certainly did not start their season with a soft landing, but they sure delivered in a big way when they picked up an awfully impressive victory over an impressive Utah team.
Billy Napier clearly had his team prepared to face off with a skilled opponent like the Utes and his players executed when they had to. It was not a perfect game and there were plenty of times when a win did not seem likely, but they were able to deliver when it mattered most.
The defense definitely had its fair share of struggles last time when facing Cam Rising and that explosive offense, but I thought their unit did a good job of not breaking when they could have. Amari Burney had the play of the game when he made the game-winning interception.
Anthony Richardson came into 2022 with a lot of hype and he was certainly electric last Saturday both with his arm and with his legs. He finished going 17/24 for 168 yards and then rushed it 11 times for 106 yards. If he can be that true duel threat quarterback, it will not be an easy feat to slow him down this season.
This squad was really able to make a statement in their first game and they have another opportunity to do that here when they welcome this Kentucky team to the swamp. I get that they are favored by 6 points, but being able to knock off a conference foe in a game that could have implications down the line would be huge for a program like Florida that is really hoping to get back to relevancy.

4* Kentucky vs. Florida NCAA Betting Final Analysis:
Look, Florida shocked some folks in the opener and there is a lot of faith in them right about now, but I do not love laying this number with them here.
There is no doubt that Kentucky is going to be in a tough spot here as they are an undermanned team playing on the road in the SEC.
Without Rodriguez in the game, a lot of the pressure is going to fall on Levis, but I do feel he has the talent and the people around him to keep his team in this game. Remember, Cam Rising was able to move the ball up and down the field against this defense so there certainly are some vulnerabilities to be exposed.
On the flip side, it could be very hard for the Wildcats to contain Richardson & co., but I still see this shaping out to be a pretty close one. Florida might pull off the win, but the points are too many for me in a conference battle like this.
I like Kentucky at +6 in this spot.
