These are two of the three teams currently with no conference losses in the Big 12. Whoever wins will really have an edge.
Iowa State looks like a complete team this season, good talent, and they are very well-coached.
Oklahoma State is more explosive though. They can bury you if you are not on top of your game.
Iowa State Cyclones
If the Cyclones win the Big 12 will it matter that they lost to Louisiana to start the season? It might, but that is a question for further down the road.
I know they have the loss to the Cajuns but I think they might take another here. Even though Iowa State has beaten TCU and Oklahoma they may need to play their best game here to get a win.
Breece Hall is pushing Chuba Hubbard for the title of best running back in the conference. He is not there yet but he has been more productive than the Cowboy.
His presence and abilities have taken a huge load off of Brock Purdy. Purdy has not been bad this season but he has not been great either. His receiving talent is not great.
The defense has been just OK this season. They are solid against the run, against the pass is a different story though. They need to improve in that area.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Oklahoma State has looked a little better each week though you don’t want to read too much into a win over Kansas.
The key for this one is the return of Spencer Sanders. Shane Illingworth did a nice job holding things down while he was hurt but Sanders is the key to opening up the offense.
When they are going strong you have to be ready for Hubbard and Tylan Wallace, one of the best receivers in the country on every play.
The defense has put up some really strong numbers. It has not faced a team as good as ISU though so I am not expecting them to keep the Cyclones to just 9ppg, their average allowed.

Free Week 8 NCAA Football Pick
Given that Sander has played just one series all season he is a definite wild card here. Still I like the home side, a lot.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Oklahoma State -3.5
That hook is a little discouraging but I think the Oklahoma State offense finally comes together this weekend. Hubbard has his first big game of the year and Wallace watches a couple of TD passes too.
Iowa State is not going to rollover that is for sure. They are just not going to be able to keep pace on the road. The might make a mistake or two that turn into quick points also.
