This Big 12 matchup will see the Iowa State Cyclones travel to Manhattan to take on the Kansas State Wildcats.
Last season Iowa state beat Kansas State 42-38.
Iowa State Cyclones
Iowa State have had an up and down year, but come into this game on a two-game winning streak. They are already bowl eligible so this game is more about boosting what bowl game they will end up in.
This past week they beat Kansas 41-31. Their offense was rolling in this game but is was against the Kansas defense. They racked up a total of 489 yards. Most of their damage came through the air as well. Brock Purdy threw for 372 yards in this game with four touchdowns and just one interception.
Passing the ball has clearly been the strength for this Cyclones team this season. They rank 6th in the country an average 330.5 yards per game.
Scoring has also not been too much of an issue as they average 35.6 points per game.

Defensively, there has to be some concern especially after last week. The Cyclones allowed the Jayhawks to out-gain them in yards. All is good because they ended up winning the game, but allowing nearly 500 yards to Kansas is not what you want from your defense.
The Cyclones were mainly shredded through the air, which makes sense since that is the weak point of their defense. They are allowing 242.3 passing yards per game compared to 126.6 rushing yards per game.
Kansas State Wildcats
The Wildcats have also had an up and down season having beat a team like Oklahoma, but then going and losing to West Virginia. They are also trying to get to 8 wins to try and get the best bowl possible.
They ended up beating Texas Tech last week 30-27. This snapped a two-game losing streak as well.
The Wildcats only managed to put up 372 of total offense. Most of their yards came through the air as Skyler Thompson threw for 246 yards, two touchdowns an one interception. He did only complete 50% of his passes, so he will need to be much better this week.
The Kansas State offense has shown some deficiencies this season. They are the 98th ranked team in the country in terms of passing offense. They only throw for an average of 197.4 yards per game.
Their rush offense is ranked higher at 40th in the country, and they average 186.8 yards per game on the ground. Iowa State has had trouble defending the pass, so that is where Kansas State will need to attack them if they are going to win this game.

Kansas State have had problems on the defensive end, and they just allowed Texas Tech to rack up 512 yards of offense. They still only allow an average of 21.9 points per game, so they do a pretty good job keeping teams out of the end zone.
The Wildcats have the 40th best passing defense in the country, which should help them shut down Iowa State. They surely will not shut them down completely, but as long as they slow them down, they will have a chance to keep this game very close.

Free Week 14 NCAA Football Pick
Neither team has much to play for, but I lean towards the home team to get the outright upset.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: UNDER 46.5
Both defenses have had some success this season and I think both offenses could struggle in this game. I will take the under and look for a defensive battle in the last regular season game for both teams.
