This years SEC Championship will see the Georgia Bulldogs take on the LSU Tigers. This is the game that could shake up the College Football Playoff and could potentially be the reason why Utah and Oklahoma get left out.
Of course the only way this shake up happens is if the Bulldogs upset the Tigers. The committee is not going to penalize the Tigers if they lose the the #4 ranked team, so the only option is to keep both the Tigers and the Dawgs in the top four.

The last time these teams met was in 2018. The Tigers blew out Georgia 36-16. This game however, was played in Death Valley. Now they will be playing in Atlanta, so it could very well be a home game for the Bulldogs.
Georgia Bulldogs
The Dawgs finished up their regular season by crushing the Yellow Jackets last week. The game may have been close at halftime, but the result was never really in doubt. It was only a matter of time before Georgia pulled away in the second half and that is exactly what they did. The Dawgs outscored the Yellow Jackets 35-0 in the second half to cap off their 11-1 record.
There have been questions all season long about how lackluster this offense has been. They had 500 total yards of offense against Georgia Tech, but that was expected considering how bad of a defense they played.
Jake Fromm continues to look unimpressive as he went 14 for 29. Sure, he threw four touchdowns, but plain and simple, Fromm must be better to keep up with the LSU offense. Then you throw in that Lawrence Cager is going to be out for this game with an injury and George Pickens will be suspended for the first half due to fighting in the last game, Georgia is going to have to find someone to step up.
There is of course their run game, which has been effective for most the year. The Dawgs need to establish the run early to try and loosen up the LSU defense. They also will be wanting to shorten the game to keep the Tigers’ offense on the sideline.

There is no questioning that the defense has been the backbone of this Georgia team. It is clear that they have a top five defense in the country. The real question is, “Can the Bulldogs slow down the Tigers in any way?” Well the short answer is yes. The Bulldogs biggest weakness if you want to call it that is defending the pass. Even then, they still have the 15th pass defense in the country, so they do have the talent to slow down Burrow.
Georgia must force some turnovers in the game. They need to do everything in their power to limit Burrow and they will have a legit chance to win this game.
LSU Tigers
This LSU team has clearly done enough to get into the College Football Playoffs regardless of whether they win or lose. They have notable wins over Texas (on the road), Florida, Auburn and most importantly Alabama (also on the road). They just hammered Texas A&M last week 50-7 and now focus their attention on a much better defensive team.
The Tigers offensive success all starts with Heisman contender, Joe Burrow. He has thrown for 4,366 yards and has 44 touchdowns. He has led the Tigers to the 2nd best overall offense, 2nd best passing offense and 2nd best scoring offense. Their only weakness is the run game that ranks 57th.
Overall, the Tigers defense is not bad, but there have been times where they have allowed way too many points and yards for that matter. For example, they allowed over 400 rushing yards to the Ole Miss Rebels. This gives me some concern when facing a run heavy Georgia team.
The Tigers have also been known to give up the big plays through the air, so they need to be better all around if they want to continue their magical season.

Free Week 15 NCAA Football Pick
This is easily going to be the toughest defense the Tigers have faced this season. I also think they will have some trouble slowing down the Georgia run game and I lean to the Dawgs to get the outright upset.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Georgia Bulldogs +7
The LSU defense has shown holes in recent weeks and I think laying a touchdown against one of the best defenses in the country is a little too much.
Again, this game could basically be a home game for the Dawgs and I do like them to keep it much closer than most people think.
