The SEC is set to feature another big clash as #4 Georgia takes on #12 Auburn at Jordan-Hare on Saturday at 3:30 p.m ET.
After last weekend’s highly viewed LSU vs. Alabama confrontation, this game is big for both teams although Georgia certainly has more to lose than the Tigers.
Georgia is in the pole position in the SEC East Division standings at 5 – 1 at 8 – 1 overall with their lone loss to the Gamecocks this season accounting for the only blemish.
Auburn has already accepted the fact that an SEC West Division crown will simply not be happening in 2019, with the loss to LSU and LSU undefeated there is no chance that the Tigers can reach that big game.
Regardless, at 7 – 2 and already bowl eligible the Tigers still have the Iron Bowl in front of them with the Tide left to finish the regular season. (That’s because we don’t understand how the hell Samford got sandwiched in between Georgia and Alabama on their late-season schedule, but whatever)

Georgia Bulldogs
The Bulldogs have rivals Georgia Tech listed as their final regular-season game this year, so this game with Auburn and next week’s game with Texas A & M will conclude Georgia’s SEC schedule.
Georgia comes into Jordan-Hare as 3-point favorites on the road this Saturday, and since the Bulldogs already took out Florida they essentially have a 2-game lead in the SEC East over the Gators.
So, the Bulldogs have to finish out 2 – 0 with their own fate in their hands, but this is no easy road trip. Auburn is playing well and has only lost to Florida and LSU this season at 7 – 2. In case you haven’t heard, those two teams are kinda good too LoL
Auburn also handed Oregon their only loss of 2019, and the Bulldogs don’t exactly have fond memories of their last trip to Jordan-Hare either. You remember right? It was 2 seasons ago and Georgia was undefeated and cruising along and WHAM! Auburn smacked them right in the face with a 40 – 17 butt-whippin’!
These two teams go so far back that stories are still being told about what really happened in some of those games. This is the 123rd time these two will take the field against each other, and we expect a classic to go down.
The Bulldogs have won 3 straight games since their 20 – 17 loss to South Carolina, while Kentucky and Missouri both got handed shutouts with the 24 – 17 win over Florida as well.
Junior QB Jake Fromm is putting together a decent campaign, although he won’t be winning many awards out of the SEC with Tua and Joe Burrow getting most of the publicity.
Fromm’s only disaster this year came in that Gamecock loss with 3 picks and as you can see they are the only 3 interceptions that Jake has thrown this year (13 – 3 TD to INT ratio)
Fromm didn’t exactly kill it last time out against Missouri either, but the defense did most of the damage anyway. From only completed 13 of his 29 passes in the 27 – 0 win last weekend over Mizzou, and the 44.8% is his worst showing this year. Not exactly how you want to walk into Jordan-Hare, as confidence is a must when you go on the road in the SEC

Auburn Tigers
Auburn already knows that their season will end in a nice size bowl game representing the SEC. That’s great, but that also leads to questioning what Auburn is going to do with their last 3 games. The Iron Bowl is coming up and this game should have been a big one too, but Auburn is not going to the SEC title game.
LSU is looking mighty unstoppable and with the loss to the Tigers in the heads-up scenario that defeat was their doom. Of course, when these seats fill up and excitement of game day lands, the scouts and the fans will all be watching anyway, so there is always something to play for when you in the SEC.
Hey, I am not saying that teams outside of the SEC… Oh shut up, you know what I mean. This conference is what it is, and we call it loaded while some call it over-respected.
I could see how the loss to LSU effected this team in their 20 – 14 win over Ole Miss last time out. The Tigers almost looked disinterested early and finally just said, ‘Ok we have more talent you let’s get this over with!’
Now, getting up for Georgia this weekend? Again, I have issues with Auburn now because they have f**king SAMFORD on deck next weekend, which is absolutely ridiculous if you ask me.
Get up for Georgia, slide down to Samford and get back up for Alabama to finish the season? WHAT? Like, who is the genius that thought to put Samford … ugh, nevermind, I just threw up a little, brb!

Anyway, we all see the season that Bo Nix is putting together, and I see it as mediocre at best. His 12 TD to 6 INT ratio leaves a ton to be desired, and not one RB or WR is over 569 yards of output this season.
Sophomore RB JaTarvious Whitlow has put up 553 yards on 113 carries for the Tigers, and he has found the end zone 7 times.
Sophomore WR Seth Williams has only brought in those team-leading 569 yards of offensive production, and that is chitlins compared to plenty of other programs.
