Central Michigan comes in already having won their MAC opener a couple of weeks ago. A win on the road to get to 2-0 would be huge.
Western Michigan is probably the most explosive team in the MAC this season and can’t wait to get started in conference.

There is nothing like a tilt between directional Michigan schools to get your blood pumping.
Central Michigan Chippewas
CMU is playing a second road game in a row and that is always tough. Last week they went down to Miami and had an interesing result, losing just 17-12.
I am not sure what to make of that one. Are they better than expected or is Miami that much worse.
What we have seen in others games, including wins against Akron and FCS Albany is a team that does not have much offense. QB David Moore is questionable for this one so that is not good.
Running back Kobe Lewis had a big game against Akron but has not done much in three others. You can see the potential there and they might need him to start being more consistent.

The defense might have only given up 17 points last week but is no very strong. They yielded 61 points to Wisconsin and are averaging given up 30ppg. Against WMU they are going to struggle to slow them down.
Western Michigan Broncos
Western Michigan is looking to start the season on a good note. The nonconference has some moments but they finished just 2-2 showing some offensive proficiency but not getting any big wins. They pushed Syracuse last week but that team is not as good as expected.
The offense leads the way here. They are in the Top 20 in yards and passing yards per game. Senior QB Jon Wassink will esaily set new personal bests if he stays healthy.
This defense gave up 51 points to Michigan State. The Spartans are by far the better team but that is one of the more maligned offenses in the country and they couldn’t do anything to stop them.
That might not matter because with the weapons that Wassink has there might not be a team in the MAC that can really stop them.

Free Week 5 NCAA Football Pick
Any game with Western Michigan should have a lot of points scored. That is what I am banking on for this one.

I do not see how the Broncos are not able to get at least 30 in this one. The way their defense has struggled that might give up that same amount too.
Even if they pull away as the spread suggests there will be points late to get to that over. They are not going to get up big and then salt it away.
