This week six matchup will see the California Golden Bears take on the Oregon Ducks.
This is an important PAC-12 matchup, so neither team can afford to lose. Especially Cal, who already has one conference loss. Oregon looks to be the top team in the PAC-12, so as long as they remain undefeated in conference play, they will have the best chance to play for the PAC-12 championship.

Last season the Ducks beat the Golden Bears 42-24.
California Golden Bears
Cal failed to live up to their hype, losing on Friday night last week to Arizona State. The score to this game was 24-17 and they did not look good.
The Golden Bears totaled 245 yards in their last game against the Sun Devils. Chase Garbers went 9 of 12 in this game for only 117 yards an one touchdown. He then left the game with a shoulder injury and is now has been ruled out indefinitely. His backup, Devon Modster, came into the game and looked terrible, going 5 of 14 for 23 yards. He also threw an interception.
This is where Cal is going to struggle in this game. With Garbers out, they will be no threat on offense. This means that their defense is going to have to keep them in the game.
Speaking of their defense, they allowed 365 total yards to the Sun Devils. They allowed 191 yards on the ground and 174 yards through the air.
The Ducks are a pass heavy team, so the Golden Bears might be able to slow them down, but in the end California is going to struggle. Their defense might be on the field a ton because of their poor offense and that will allow Oregon to take advantage.
Oregon Ducks
Ever since blowing a lead to Auburn in week one, Oregon has been blowing out teams. They have outscored their opponents 133-15 in their three games since losing to the Tigers.

Oregon is also coming off a bye, so they have had plenty of time to prepare for this conference game. In their last game against the Stanford Cardinal, they had 320 total yards. This is a little low, and they also only had 61 yards rushing, but the week off should have allowed them to focus on their weaknesses.
Justin Herbert may not be putting up Heisman Trophy numbers, but he has been extremely efficient. Against the Cardinal, he went 19 of 24 and threw for 259 yards. He also had three touchdowns and did not turn the ball over.
The defense has been the story for the Ducks this season. Yes, they allowed Auburn to come back and beat them, but since then they have allowed 5 points per game on average. Granted, their opponents have not been strong, but they are pretty much shutting down whoever they play.
Now that we know that Cal’s starting quarterback is out, Oregon should have even more success shutting down the Golden Bears.
Oregon ranks in the top 26 teams in both passing and rushing defense, so whatever the Golden Bears throw at them, they should be able to handle themselves.

Free Week 6 NCAA Football Pick
There is no way I believe Cal goes on the road and wins at Oregon with a backup quarterback. For that reason I like the Ducks to win easily.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: UNDER 46.5
With how dominate the Oregon defense has looked, expect them to dominate the line of scrimmage and make it extremely tough for the Cal backup QB to move the ball. I will take the under in this game and will expect the Ducks to do almost all the scoring.
