West Virginia comes into this matchup after a very tough showing versus Oklahoma State where they were only able to score one touchdown. Baylor faced the Kansas Jayhawks last week, and that game resulted like most Jayhawks games do, a routing from their opposing team.
These conference foes are heading into a duel this Saturday, which could end up one of the better games of this College Football Saturday.
Baylor Bears
The Bears had an impressive start to their season that was headlined by the extremely talented running back, Trestan Ebner, who finished the game with one rushing touchdown, one receiving, and two kick return for touchdowns.
The senior is not alone in that backfield though, as Baylor’s leading rusher in 2019, John Lovett, returns as well, and both will really help exploit the West Virginia rushing defense that gave up two touchdowns last week.
The Baylor offense is led by there exciting quarterback Charlie Brewer who can get it done in the air and with his legs when he’s healthy. He did not have to do much in the 47-14 win over Kansas, but over his 4 years at Baylor, he has 7,884 yards passing, 52 passing touchdowns, with 18 rushing touchdowns.

Baylor lost two of their top Wide receivers in Denzel Mims and Chris Platt, which certainly hurts, but they have two talented players in Tyquan Thorton and RJ Sneed to fill their spots.
The offense is looking good for Baylor this year, but the hope for Bears fans will be that new coach Dave Aranda can bring his winning Defensive Coordinator ways from his years at LSU, where he is fresh off a National Championship win.
West Virginia Mountaineers
West Virginia came out hot to start the season but followed it up with a weak performance when it came to playing a quality opponent. The offense would look good on paper yardage wise as they actually had more total yards than Oklahoma State.
The main issue they had was penalties and a costly scoop and score turnover in the second quarter that gave the Cowboys a solid lead to head into the second half.
Coming into this game, the Mountaineers will continue to trust the arm of Jarret Doege, who has 513 yards throwing and four touchdowns through two games. It will be necessary to establish the run though, as last week they were unable to get much help in that regard. West Virginia has the playmakers to cause trouble for the Baylor Defense that only returns two starters.

Free Week 4 NCAA Football Prediction:
Despite never having won in Morgantown, this game is under different circumstances in our Covid-19 era of sports. Only family members will be able to attend, so Milan Puskar Stadium will not be rocking.
Before you put in your bet, something to look for is if Baylor will have tackles Jake Burton and Blake Bedier, but they are expected to have star center Xavier Newman-Johnson for this game, which is a great addition for them. I believe Baylor will have their way running the ball and finding the dynamic Trestan Ebner in space.
I think Charlie Brewer is really going to show out in this one. Take Baylor -3, as Baylor will capture their first win in Morgantown this Saturday and cover.
