The Ball State Cardinals will travel to Buffalo this weekend to take on the Bulls and need the win in order to improve their record over .500 for the season.
The Cardinals have dropped their last two games, including a 24-21 loss at the hands of Central Michigan last weekend.
Ball State was able to get the game as close as 3 with 11 minutes remaining in the game, but a interception that was thrown late put the last nail in the coffin for the Cardinals.

Buffalo’s previous game wasn’t as exciting to watch, if you are a Bulls fan that is.
They were pounded 44-20 by Kent State and the loss dropped their record to 1-4 on the season.
Buffalo has yet to score more than 20 points in a game this season and will need everything they can stir up if they want to come away with a win at home this week.
Buffalo Bulls
It has been one struggle after the other so far this season for the Buffalo Bulls.
Other than the lone win against Army, you kind of have to dig for anything positive to say about the team. Last week may just have been the biggest let down of the year so far for Buffalo.
A beat up Kent State team was able to make themselves look like a contending team against the Bulls. At the end of the third quarter, Buffalo was down by a score of 27-6.
They were able to put some points on the board once the game was out of reach and lost the game 44-20.

The Buffalo defense gave up 341 yards on he ground off of 45 carries.
The Bulls did keep Kent State to only 87 passing yards, but when you can run the ball at will their is no need to pass. If Buffalo want to have a chance at pulling off an upset against Ball State, the defense will definitely need to make some changes.
The defense has given up an average 406 yards per game with 271 of them coming on the ground.
They are allowing opposing offenses to average 31.8 points a contest compared to just 15.2 of their own.
Ball State Cardinals
After jumping out to a 3-1 start, the Ball State Cardinals have dropped two in a row by a combined ten points.
They fell by a touchdown to Northern Illinois and followed it up by a three point loss last week against Central Michigan.
With less than three minutes to play, Ball State had the ball on the Chippewas 29 yard line, but an interception thrown by Riley Neal allowed central Michigan to run out the rest of the clock.

Ball State hasn’t had an issue moving the ball, the offense averages a total of 418.7 yards per game.
The problem for the Cardinals has been on the defensive side of the ball. They are giving up an average of 422.3 yards per game with 273 of them coming through the air.
They have also been giving up an average of 24.5 points per game while the offense has put up an average score of 28.

Free Week 7 NCAA Football Prediction
The Ball State Cardinals have an amazing record of 50-21 against the spread in their last 71 games on the road.
With the spread at 9.5 and the way the Bulls defense has played this year, I expect the Cardinals to make another notch in the win column for the stat this weekend.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Ball State -9.5
This week should be a great opportunity for the Cardinals to get their record back over .500 for the season.
Ball State averages just over 200 yards a game and should be able to put together a great attack on the ground against a defense that allows an average of over 270 on the ground.
I look for Ball State to cover here with the total going over 48.
