Well, here it is sports fans! It doesn’t get much bigger than Alabama-LSU in college football, and the time is finally upon us.
This game always plays a huge role in deciding the SEC West as well the the National Championship picture.
Although LSU is currently in 4th in the division, the game will be no less important this year.
The #1 Alabama Crimson Tide have seemed invincible this year.
Outside of a five-point scare at Ole Miss, no one has gotten within 19 points of beating them. #15 LSU has had a tumultuous season so far, but is undefeated since firing Les Miles.
If Ed Ogeron beats Bama, it would be hard for the Tigers to not take “interim” off his title.
Alabama Crimson Tide
There is probably not much I can say about Alabama that has not already been said this year.
They seem to be a team of super-football robots. Over the last two weeks, they have defeated two teams that were supposed to be two of their toughest opponents– Texas A&M last week and Tennessee the week before– by a total of 58 points.
Freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts has been very impressive at the helm for the Tide.
He is completing 63.2 percent of his passes with 1,578 yards and 21 total touchdowns (12 passing, nine rushing) to only five interceptions.
They are 11th in the nation rushing with 264.8 yards per game.
Alabama is 9th in scoring offense (43.9 points per game) and 4th in scoring offense (14.9 points allowed per game).
It seemed as though 2016 was going to be a down year for the Tigers at first.
They lost two of their first four, and Les Miles was finally given the ax after years of dancing around the possibility. However, they have won three straight, including handling Ole Miss at home 38-21.
They are now 15th in the nation, and a win here could put them back in the national picture.
As has been the case in the past, the LSU Tigers are hanging their hats on running the ball and playing great defense this year.
They are 20th in CFB in rushing with 239.9 yards per game and 5th in scoring defense, allowing only 15 points per contest.
Despite injuries, running back Leonard Fournette has still piled up 670 yards on the ground and five touchdowns.

Free Week 10 NCAA Football Prediction
Although LSU is tough at home and has been playing great football over the last few weeks, it is hard to see them beating the machine that is Alabama.
This game is rarely decided by more than one score in recent years– hence the 7-point line– and two great defenses make UNDER the safer pick in this one.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: UNDER 47
The Tigers defense has been incredible this year, but quarterback Jalen Hurts adds a dimension to the Bama offense that they have not had before and just makes them that much harder to beat.
The SEC is going to have trouble with him for a few more years to come.
