2020 Football Preview – Mountain West – Aggies
Looking for 2020 Utah State Aggies predictions? The Aggies went from being 11-2 in 2018 to tie for first in the conference to a disappointing 7-6 in 2019. This was quite disappointing considering they had a first-round NFL quarterback in Jordan Love who just recently, in controversial fashion, was drafted by the Green Bay Packers. In the 2019 season the Utah State Aggies also went to the Frisco Bowl where they lost to Kent State 51-41. Now the question is whether or not they can build on their 2019 season despite various roster issues.

2020 Utah State Aggies Preview
The Utah State Aggies and head coach Gary Andersen look to have their work cut out for them this upcoming season after a slew of players have moved on from the program. Most notably was QB Jordan Love who was drafted in the first round by the Green Bay Packers and he leaves an Aggies QB room who will not likely have an experienced replacement for him.
The Aggies will have a lot of question marks over who starts at the QB position in 2020, but it looks like Henry Colombi is the front-runner at this early stage of proceedings.
2020 Utah State Aggies – Overall roster questions and one big void left by Jordan Love
Not only do the Aggies have to deal with losing Jordan Love, but they lost a slew of other important players who will be very hard for Andersen and Co. to replace. They also do not have the deep overall roster they would need to replace those guys and come close to the level they were playing at last year.
Based on what we see with their overall roster at the moment the Aggies will need to have a great recruiting class along with having some of their bench players step up in a big way and whether or not that is the case remains to be seen.
2020 Utah State Aggies Predictions: Team Strengths: Possible early season chemistry
One thing that might go in the Aggies favor early on is Henry Colombi’s ability to find early season chemistry with some of the wide receivers he red-shirted with in previous seasons. One of those guys might be wide receiver Taylor Compton who has not played a big role in the offense thus far in his Aggies career, but he is one of 4 returning wide receivers who have likely gotten plenty of practice snaps in with the new and inexperienced QB.
2020 Utah State Aggies Predictions: Team Weaknesses: Defense…and Offense?
Overall I don’t think this team will be very good at all in 2020 and we have already established the questions marks over the offense, but the real weakness of this team might be the defense. The Aggies were not great on the defensive side of the ball all year and nowhere was that proven more than in their bowl game against Kent State last year where they gave up 51 points.

2020 Utah State Aggies Prediction: 5th in the Mountain West & a 4-8 record (Bet Now at any of our Reviewed Online Sportsbooks!)
Although, on face value, the 2020 schedule does not look all that tough for the Utah State Aggies I find it hard to imagine this team going over the 5 win total with the amount of roster changes this team will face. The biggest hole for this squad obviously is the QB position, but they have also lost key pieces on the defensive side of things with guys like Tipa Galeai signing with the Packers as an undrafted free agent.
If they get the QB position right this season this team can be competitive, but that is a pretty big ”if” and I see them being more likely to go under that 5 game win total than over.
