2018 Football Preview – C-USA – Roadrunners
Looking for 2018 UTSA Roadrunners predictions? The Roadrunners have a nice season last year finishing with six wins, but they also beat up on a lot of bad teams. The challenge this year is to take the next step forward and to not just stay where they are. If they can take that next step forward this program will have all the hype after this season.

2018 UTSA Roadrunners Predictions: Team Strengths
New Offensive scheme : The offense struggled at times last year, so this year they are trying a change in scheme hoping that will switch things up.
They are going to be working more out of the shotgun this year, and that should help the offense score at least a few more points.
There are still a lot of questions surrounding this team this year on the offensive side of the ball, but this is going to be a positive thing.
Frank Wilson: Frank Wilson is a good coach, and on the defensive side he knows how to get the best out of his guys.
He lost both of his coordinators, but he should be able to adapt and overcome, just like he has done most of his career.
2018 UTSA Roadrunners Predictions: Team Weaknesses
Offensive Line Disaster: The offensive line wasn’t good last year, and chances are it’s only going to get worse.
Three are starters are gone from last years team which means this team is going to have a lot of growing pains. Last year they have all kinds of issues keeping people out of the backfield.
Expect the offensive line to give up big holes again this year, and the quarterback to spend a ton of time on his back.
Young Defense: I am not saying the defense is going to be a weakness but there is no question they are going to be young.
A lot of the starters from last year are gone, and it means that a lot of the young guys are going to need to step up in big ways.
UTSA Roadrunners Prediction: 8-4
This Roadrunners team looks different than last year, but I really think they are going to take a nice step forward.
I think they will take advantage of the easy games, and even pull a few upsets. That will be enough for a very nice season.
