The San Jose Spartans need to find their quarterback, so who has the upper hand?
2018 San Jose State Spartans Predictions: Team Strengths
Kicking machine: With a team like the San Jose Spartans, they tend to struggled reaching the other side of the field with a weak offensive attack. With that in mind, the Spartans have an excellent special team squad that can score points when needed.
The MVP of San Jose could very well be Bryce Crawford who has made a total of 30 field goals out of 35 attempts the past two season. Last season he was an All-MWC honorable mention with his five field goals from at least 50 yards.

The San Jose Spartans do not need to go far to get those points, but they still tend to struggle even getting a couple of first downs.
2018 San Jose State Spartans Predictions Team Weaknesses:
Quarterback Problem: The leader of the offense, even sometimes the leader of the team, the quarterback is the one who can change the game within a matter of seconds. However the Spartans do not have one of those leaders under center quite yet.
Last year, they had problems figuring out who should the main man under center as they kept switching out players. Let’s take a look at this quarterback problem.

Last season, Montel Aaron was the quarterback who should have led the team, however he lost his job halfway through the season due to his costly interceptions in close games. However there was no other clear backup and he would gain his spot in the last weeks of the season.
His backup at the moment is Josh Love who had five starts during the halfway mark and impressed a lot of people. However simple mistakes led to him sitting on the bench.
Also do not forget about the freshmen Terrell Carter who is a dual threat quarterback in which the Spartans need.
San Jose State Spartans Prediction: 4-8
The Spartans need a strong start to the season to come close to this record, and they must claim a starter through camp.
I love the work of Carter getting the start, however he does not have the deep ball threat of the other quarterbacks such as Aaron and Love.

Once again it is a quarterback problem that hurts their season once again as they win four games despite two changes under center.
