2018 Football Preview – SEC – Tigers
Looking for 2018 Missouri Tigers predictions? The Tigers finished with a 7-6 record last year, and although that speaks improvement on paper the question is really how much progress was actually made. They played in a terrible SEC East, and that makes one wonder how good is this team actually going to be this year. Even though they improve there is still a ton of quesitons going into this season that need to be answered quickly.

Can the Tigers answer the questions? Or will this team take a step back this year.
2018 Missouri Tigers Predictions: Team Strengths
NFL Ready Quarterback: The Missouri Tigers have Drew Lock under center and he almost left to go to the NFL this year, but has decided to come back for one last season with the Tigers.
His stats speak for themselves and they all jump off the page. He threw for almost 4000 yards last year, and had 44 touchdowns.
As good as his stats are, he does have some struggles including his accuracy going out on him at some times. He is a fun guy to watch and if nothing else, people will tune in to watch this guy.

He doesn’t have a true number one receiver to throw too, but he does have a lot of good options and the offense is going to be spectacular this year.
Look for this to be one of the most exciting offenses to watch in division one.
Linebacker by Community: The Tigers don’t have a lot of stars on the defensive side, but Linebacker is a strength.
Cale Garrett is a tackling machine, and should be back to that this year. Throw him with Terez Hall and Brandon Lee and it is going to make for a special year.
2018 Missouri Tigers Predictions: Team Weaknesses
Can’t get off the field: Last year the big weakness for the Tigers was getting off the field on third and fourth downs.
On those occasions last year, teams converted over 43 percent on the Tigers and if they can’t get off the field this year, it’s going to be an issue.
In a tough SEC if they want to win games, getting off the field on the third down conversions is going to be key this year.

Turning the Ball Over: As good as the offense was last year, they had a real problem with turning the ball over.
As good as the offense was it needs to be better at taking care of the ball. Look for the team to really work on ball control this offseason.
Missouri Tigers Prediction: 8-4
The Missouri Tigers are going to be better this year, but so is the SEC so one of them is going to have to give this season.
I think the Tigers are going to stay about the same and although they improve I don’t think they will improve enough to take a step forward in the conference.

They will finish with a 6-6 record, which will be enough for them to get to a bowl game, but not much else, and this season will be considered a dispaointment.
