Tuesday, March 22nd. the Chicago Bulls play the Milwaukee Bucks for the third of four scheduled meetings. Milwaukee won both prior meetings 94-90 on January 21st and 118-112 on March 4th. Chicago will host the final meeting on April 5th.
Chicago enters to finish a back-to-back set having pummelled the Raptors 113-99 on Monday while the Bucks have the decided rest advantage having last played Saturday in a 119-138 loss to the Wolves.
Last season, the teams played three times with the Bucks winning two of the three contests. The Bulls hold the all-time record having bested the Bucks in 132 of their 257 matches
Chicago Bulls
Although the final score versus the Raptors shows a 14 point deficit Chicago won that match in an even more dominant fashion. Toronto kept pace with them through the first half but looked absolutely exhausted in the second half.
No doubt, playing the second game of a back-to-back factored plus just returning from a six-game Western road trip and only playing one home game prior to hitting the road for the back-to-back set in Philly and Chicago.
Chicago looked stronger and also got a boost with Patrick Williams returning to the court after missing all but five games this season due to a thumb injury and subsequent surgery. He played 19 minutes offering seven points, two rebounds, and a steal.
His presence provided the extra energy and an upgrade defensively for the Bulls.
DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine each scored 26 points while Nikola Vucevic posted a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds. It was a much-needed win for Chicago who had lost three in a row and eight of 10 with this match marking the start of a five-game road trip.
They entered the match in fifth place only 1.5 games up on Toronto so this win allowed them to put some distance between themselves and Toronto (and Cleveland).
Lonzo Ball (knee) remains out indefinitely.
Milwaukee Bucks
Sitting in the second seed the Bucks are still looking at the top seed which they sit three games back of Miami to nab. They are 2-2 through the last four games but had won six in a row prior to that.
Milwaukee has 11 games remaining with five at home and six on the road.
Their schedule is fairly difficult with seven games versus teams seeded sixth and higher (Bulls x2, Grizzlies, 76ers, Mavericks, Celtics, Cavaliers), two versus current play-in seeds (Nets, Clippers), and two lottery seeds (Wizards, Pistons).
Additionally, they have two more back-to-back sets remaining.
In the loss to the Wolves seven Bucks scored in double figures but none higher than 15 points but perhaps the most important news was Pat Connaughton returned after missing the last 13 games with a broken finger.
Brook Lopez played in his third consecutive game so the Bucks are getting healthy at the perfect time as they gear up to defend their title.
Giannis Antetokounmpo sat the last game nursing a sore knee and is questionable for Tuesday. De’Andre Bembry (knee) is out indefinitely.

Free Chicago Bulls vs. Milwaukee Bucks NBA Prediction
Although both teams covet the win the Bulls are the team much more desperate as they hope to get off to a solid showing given their 16-19 road record.
Chicago holds an anemic 6-18 record versus the top six teams of each conference but similarly to Milwaukee are getting key players back just in time for the stretch run. The Bulls are 8-6 in second games of back-to-backs this season.
