NBA Eastern Conference Win Total Best Bets
The NBA regular season is underway and I hope everyone has been doing well with our expert free picks. In this feature piece I’m going to analyze the win total markets. This article will handicap regular season win totals from the NBA Eastern conference.
Atlanta Hawks Over 49.5 Wins
The Hawks won 60 games last season and are out to a 5-1 start in 2015.
Jeff Teague, Paul Millsap and Al Horford are a formidable trio, plus Atlanta boast one of the deepest benches when healthy, which includes Dennis Schroder.

The East is still weak and the Hawks should cruise to a 50+ win regular season.
Toronto Raptors Over 45.5 Wins
Toronto won the weak Atlantic division last season and are on their way to repeating, as they’re 5-0 to start the season. Bookies expect the Raptors to regress.
Losing Amir Johnson and Lou Williams hurts, but they added a lot of defense, including DeMarre Carroll and Bismack Biyombo, which is what this team needed.
Kyle Lowry is in great shape and DeMar DeRozan will lead the team to 46+ wins.
Detroit Pistons Over 33.5 Wins
Even without a hot 3-1 start to the season – I’d still love the Pistons to go over their low win total. Greg Monroe is gone, but Andre Drummond will get more looks now.
Reggie Jackson is a great young PG to lead the Pistons, plus Marcus Morris has shown he can produce when given starter minutes. This is a team that should make the playoffs.
If Kentavious Caldwell-Pope takes a step forward – watch out!
Chicago Bulls Under 49.5 Wins
The Chicago Bulls are a tough team to predict. You always have to consider injuries with this team, as Derrick Rose has been unable to stay healthy in his NBA career.
Rose missed a lot of time last season, but the Bulls still won 50 games. However, this team is going to take a step back without Tom Thibodeau leading the way.
Chicago has a deep frontcourt, but Joakim Noah isn’t as ferocious as he once was.
Boston Celtics Over 42.5 Wins
Well, it hasn’t been the start Boston wanted – they’re just 1-3. Expect them to right the ship relatively quickly. Don’t forget, this team won 24 of their last 36 games last season.

The Celtics also added Amir Johnson and David Lee to bolster the frontcourt.
Marcus Smart is primed to have a big season as well. This team lacks a superstar player, but the East is weak, the Celtics are relatively young and this team appears hungry.
Cleveland Cavaliers Under 56.5 Wins
Cleveland is the best team in the East, no doubt about that. However, Kyrie Irving is out until December and an injury to Lebron James or Kevin Love isn’t out of the question.
Mo Williams is a nice substitution at PG while Irving is out, though.
The Cavs are 4-1 to start the season, but winnings 57 games is tough. Only two teams in the NBA won over that many games last season and I don’t expect the Cavs will.
Philadelphia 76ers Under 21.5 Wins
The 76ers may actually be contenders in the East in a couple years. They have a ton of great young players on the team and many of them are logging starter minutes.
Clearly the team isn’t ready to make the jump yet, as they’re 0-4 already. With players like Noel, Okafor, Grant, Sampson and McConnell – the future looks bright.
Philadelphia will win a few games, but they may end up with single digit wins.
Miami Heat Under 45.5 Wins
The Heat are 2-2 to start the season, but they’ll need to do better than .500 to go over their regular season win total, which will be tough with Dwayne Wade banged up.
Wade is going to miss time this season – the question is how much time?

Goran Dragic hasn’t been playing too well and the only upside in Miami is the frontcourt of Chris Bosh and Hassan Whiteside. Miami will sneak into the playoffs with 40 wins.
