While the power conferences have yet to get things going, Siena has taken the MAAC title, Gonzaga the WCC, Chattanooga the Southern, Morehead State the Ohio Valley, Northern Iowa the Missouri Valley, Virginia Commonwealth the Colonial Athletic, Radford the Big South and East Tennessee St. the Atlantic Sun.
The Big east this year is perhaps the best in all of College basketball with several well balanced teams. When looking at prior Big East tournaments we note that the winner is like most other conference tournaments with the #1 or 2 seed the victor.

Iowa is getting a lot of respect as they head to Pittsburgh with their 3-0 record. My only question is who have they played? The Hawkeyes opened against I-AA Maine, and then played a team that should be I-AA in Florida International, followed by rival Iowa State last week. All three games were at home too.
