Last week nine home teams won straight-up. Eight home teams won against the spread with the road team covering the spread in the other five games. For the first time in seven weeks the total bet favored the ‘under’ as eight games scored less points than the total line and five scored more.

NFL Matchups – Week 7
The 2010 NFL season is six weeks old and we are still waiting for some teams to separate themselves from the pack especially in the NFC where every team has at least two losses. New York, New England, and Pittsburgh appear to be headed in that direction in the AFC as they all have just one loss heading into this week’s action.
The 2010 NFL season continues to take some unusual twists and turns and after five weeks we are still wondering which teams will separate themselves from the rest of the pack and be considered the elite ones of the league.
The New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens are moving in that direction in the AFC, but the NFC remains wide open. Case in point, the combined record so far for the final four playoff teams from last year; New Orleans, Minnesota, Dallas, and Arizona is just 8-10.
Four weeks into the 2010 NFL season there is already some serious head-scratching going on. There is only one undefeated team left; the 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs, the NFC East and West each have three teams at 2-2, Indianapolis has already lost as many games as it did all last season, and St. Louis is in the midst of a two game winning streak. One can only imagine what surprises are in store for this week.
Three weeks into the 2010 season and there is only one 3-0 team in the NFC; Chicago and two in the AFC; Pittsburgh and Kansas City as parity is alive and well in the NFL. Seven teams already have a different starting quarterback then they did on opening day and half the teams in the league are averaging less than 20 points a game as consistent offensive production has been a rare commodity so far this year.
All this adds up to one of the strangest starts in years in the NFL.
We are only two weeks into the 2010 NFL season and there is already some serious drama throughout the league. Dallas and Minnesota are a combined 0-4, Michael Vick is now the starting quarterback in Philadelphia, rookie quarterback Jimmy Clausen is the new starter in Carolina, and Tampa Bay and Kansas City who combined for seven wins last season are both 2-0.

While it is far too early to write any team off, this week should provide an early glimpse as to which teams are for real and which teams seemed destined for a long season.

The bottom line is there are many different ways you can try and handicap this game in order to come up with the best strategy to make your picks.
The 2010 NFL Pro Bowl will be played this Sunday night, January 31st in Dolphins Stadium, the site of Super Bowl XLIV, which will be played between Indianapolis and New Orleans the following week, Sunday February 7th.
The NFL’s final two teams in each conference square off against one another this Sunday with a trip to Super Bowl XLIV on the line. There are solid reasons why each team has a chance to win, but it is often the intangibles that determine the actual outcome.
The smoke has cleared from the wildcard round of the playoffs and one favorite; Dallas and three underdogs; New York, Baltimore, and Arizona are moving on to the divisional round to face the top four seeds in the league.
