I think many thought Villanova would struggles some this year but not this badly. Don’t let the record fool you, there is talent on this team but it seems like they are able to find ways to lose even though they often go on some serious in game runs.

Watching them play this year I am more and more appreciative of what Scottie Reynolds meant to this program.
With him they exceeded expectations, without him they are consistently coming up short.
Guard Maalik Wayns is a very nice player. When he was a complimentary player he was a matchup nightmare but now he is forced to carry the load and is often caught trying to do too much. Lately he is getting more help from backcourt mate Dominic Cheek but no matter how much production they get from center Mouphatou Yarou he will never live up to expectations.
I have been getting burned by this team all year long as I keep wanting to see the best in them.
South Florida
This year the South Florida Bulls are enjoying their best season ever in the Big East.
They are right now sitting in 5th place (8-4 record) ahead of such stalwart big time programs as West Virginia, Connecticut, Pittsburgh and their opponent on Wednesday Villanova who they beat on the road earlier this year. [soliloquy id=”82219″]
The few league losses have been of the ugly variety but they have been able to win the games that were available to them this year which is why they have a such a good record.
Quick, name two players that play for the South Florida Bulls. You might have got forward Augustus Gilchrist who has been tantalizing the league for years.
This year this team has been winning games even though Gilchrist, their leading scorer averages under 11 points per game.
Four others average 8 or more points per game for this team which is probably more that, a team, than maybe any other major conference program in America.
Is it possible this team could make the tournament this year while others like Pittsburgh don’t?
