NCAAB: MEGA BATTLE DOWN IN DUKE

There’s a mega non-conference tilt between the Duke Blue Devils and the Georgetown Hoyas on Saturday at 1:30 pm ET.

CBS brings you the live broadcast between the host #2 Blue Devils and an athletic Hoyas’ team.

Visit the Live Odds page. for the latest information and pay special attention to Georgetown’s non-conference and road underdog performance marks.

Sandwiched in between important home games with Syracuse and West Virginia for Georgetown is a little non-conference game with the Dukies.

For most coaches, the name of that university is a four letter word; however the Hoyas embrace the chance to play the best teams in the country even with a conference full of them.

Georgetown (12-3, 6-5 ATS) has clear flaws and they have to find ways to mask them. The Hoyas are thin up front and have to use fundamentals and technique to win the battles on the glass, without players marching to the bench with too many fouls.

The backcourt play needs to be more consistent for a team that is 58-36 ATS in non-conference games, otherwise things could get ugly.

For as good as Duke (15-1, 9-6 ATS) has played all season, they do have concerns. The Blue Devils are prone to making turnovers in bunches, which takes away from offensive continuity.

In spite of having former starters like Greg Paulus and Lance Thomas coming off the bench, their performances have been indifferent from time to time when it comes to scoring.

Duke is a splendid 9-0 (4-4 ATS) at Cameron Indoor Stadium and 8-2 ATS in home games versus teams outscoring their opponents by four or more points a game.

Both teams have been splendid off wins, with Georgetown 9-2 straight-up and 5-3 ATS and the Dukies 13-1 straight-up and 9-5 ATS.
