Real Madrid 5/2

Out of La Liga, Real Madrid looks to defend their title and should have a very good chance to. In excellent form as of late, Real Madrid has enough fire power to overcome any obstacle. With Ronald, Benzema, Rodriguez, and Bale leading the charge, Real Madrid scored 16 goals in the last round of group play.

Real drew Schalke, out of Bundesliga for their matchup in the round of 16. Schalke was unable to handle powerhouse Chelsea in the group which gives Real Madrid an excellent chance of advancing past them into the Quarter-finals.

At 5/2 odds, bettors really are just taking these odds and hoping they can ride them all the way to a Champions League title game. Odds are you won’t find Real Madrid as a 5/2 underdog in any match up remaining, even the title game.

Bayern Munich 5/2

In reality, Bayern is still waiting for somebody to challenge them. In Bundesliga, Bayern is handling every team thrown at them and sits atop of the table. In Champions League play, Bayern coasted through their group, which was supposed to be equivalent to the “group of death.” Included in their group play was a 7-1 bashing of AS Roma. The only hiccup was a 3-2 loss at Manchester City in a game that meant nothing for Bayern and was win or go home for Man City.

For the Round of 16, Bayern drew Shakhtar Donetsk from Ukraine. Shakhtar used a 12-0 aggregate over BATE in their group stage games to boost them into the next round.

Bayern should have no problem getting past Shakhtar in the round of 16. Like Real Madrid, taking Bayern at 5/2 odds is just simply hoping they can run through the tournament into the finals. No hedge opportunities, but even in the championship, Bayern won’t be 5/2 to win.

Barcelona 5-1

With the acquisition of Luis Suarez, Neymar and Messi have just as much fire power as rival Real Madrid. Barcelona cruised through the knock out stage with convincing wins over Ajax, APOEL, and PSG at home. The only slip up came to the hands of Ibrahimovic-less PSG in France 3-2.

Barca got one of the tougher draws in the Round of 16 as they are paired up with Manchester City. Getting to clash with City is the main reason Barcelona sits at odds of 5-1 to win the Champions League. Had they gotten paired with a weaker opponent, oddsmakers probably would have had them around 3-1 to win it all.

MyBookie

Great value you here with Barcelona at 5-1. If Barcelona can get a draw or a small loss with an away goal in Manchester City, they should handle City when they travel to Spain.

Chelsea 6-1

Like Barcelona, Chelsea got the raw end of the Round of 16 draw. Led by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, PSG will prove a tough task for the Blues out of the England Premiere League. Chelsea had 4 wins and 2 draws in group stage along with 3 of those being clean sheets.

Chelsea’s 6-1 odds have a lot of value. PSG is by far the top team in France, but they’ve proven they struggle against top tier teams from other leagues. Grab an away goal in PSG and Chelsea should have no problem moving on to the quarters. A 6-1, it leaves the door open for a hedge opportunity and guaranteeing profit if they can get deeper into the tournament.

Manchester City 14-1

Seeing 14-1 next to Manchester City would typically be an instant wager for most bettors. However, their struggles in group stage play put them in a position to get a tough team in the Round of 16. City fell to CSKA Moscow at home, but rallied in their final game to take down Bayern 3-2 and grab 2nd place.

Taking Manchester City to win the Champions League could easily be a loss if Manchester City flops at home in the first leg against Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid 18-1

Atletico Madrid could be the sleeper of this field. Atletico got a big 1-0 home win vs Juventus to grab the top spot in their group. Led by striker Antoine Griezmann, Madrid proved they can compete with the best by winning La Liga last season.

Paired with Bayern Leverkusen, Atletico Madrid should have no problem advancing to the Quarter finals. With an 18-1 ticket in hand, bettors have the chance to either let the upset minded Atletico future ride, or possibly hedge it and make a slim profit.

Arsenal 22-1

The Gunners showed signs of inconsistency, but won when they needed to in the Group Stages.

At 22-1 Arsenal could be a dark horse for the Champions League, but they have also shown they have the ability to lose to anyone.

They’ll be paired up with Monaco out of France for their Round of 16 match up. While Monaco is no pushover, Arsenal and Alexis Sanchez just need to avoid a major let down on their home field in the first leg and they will be advancing.

Juventus 25-1

Juventus nearly won the group and nearly finished 3rd in the Group Stages. They failed to grab results on the road against Atletico and Olympiacos, but managed to use their wins against Malmo to secure a spot in the Round of 16.

They’ll have an interesting match up with Dortmund. Dortmund won their group and have looked phenomenal in the Champions League. However, in Bundesliga, they currently are battling to avoid regulation.

Juventus doesn’t offer much of a threat against top teams and may even struggle to get past BVB.

Paris Saint-Germain 25-1

PSG goes when Zlatan Ibrahimovic goes. That’s typically been the story, but contributions from Edison Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi can give PSG a chance against Chelsea.

At 25-1, bettors are throwing darts as they need to first find a way through the Blues before even considering trying to lock in profit. If PSG does upset Chelsea, backers can do a lot with their 25-1 tickets in the Quarter finals and on.

Borussia Dortmund 25-1

Backed by one of the most passionate fan bases in all of soccer, Dortmund have shown signs of brilliance and looked unbeatable at times in the Champions League. They’ve shown that they do not let their poor Bundesliga play affect their Champions League chances.

25-1 odds are inflated just a bit because oddsmakers see the Bundesliga struggles. If Dortmund can get past Juventus this round, they can make things very difficult for the top teams and potentially make a deep run.
