Chargers vs. Raiders Week 4

Point spread for the week 4 NFL clash between the Chargers vs. Raiders, plus the betting spreads, and betting trends for nfl football gambling.

NFL Week Four Betting – Chargers vs. Raiders

The San Diego Chargers play the Oakland Raiders for the first time this season on Sunday. Even though both teams are 1 and 2 for the year, the Chargers are starting to look like one of the better teams in the AFC Conference while the Raiders, although not playing terrible football, can’t close the deal.  From an NFL betting point-of-view, both teams have put up a lot of point in their past two games. The BetUS over/under might be the online bet to make in this game.

This is especially true since the Chargers are loaded on the offensive side of the ball. The Chargers’ offense hasn’t lost a step even though superstar running back LaDanian Tomlinson has been battling a toe injury. Football betting fans must note that the Chargers have scored 24 points, 38 and 48 points in their last three games. That’s an awful lot of points. Their defense hasn’t been stellar which should give Raider fans hope. The Charger defense has given up 26, 39 and 29 points in three games.

What can online betting fans say about the Raiders? This team is actually 2 and 1 against the BetUS online sportsbook spread in three games this year. They had no business losing their last game to the Buffalo Bills. Lane Kiffin’s days as the head coach of the Oakland Raiders are numbered. That won’t give his team confidence going into this game.

Here are the BetUS online sportsbook betting odds for this game:

San Diego Chargers – 7 – 110 – 320 O 45 ½ – 110
Oakland Raiders + 7 – 110 + 260 O 45 ½ – 110

Here are a few online wagering trends that might help us find a good online bet in this game:

The San Diego Chargers are 5 and 0 against the spread versus a team with a losing record.
The San Diego Chargers are 6-0 against the spread in the last 6 meetings between these two teams in Oakland.
The Oakland Raiders are 8 and 23 against the spread in their last 31 games at home.
The Road team is 5 and 2 against the spread in the last 7 meetings between these two teams.

The Raiders keep playing hard but something has to give eventually. All of the talk coming out of Oakland about Lane Kiffin being fired soon isn’t just talk. The kid is probably out in about a week or so as coach of the Raiders.

How will it affect his team this weekend? Maybe not too much as the Raiders are used to playing with adversity. They played very well versus the Buffalo Bills and beat a rather large online betting spread of 10 ½ points.

The biggest issue that the Raiders are going to have in this game is the fact that the Chargers have found their rhythm. Offensively, the Chargers have looked fantastic. Defensively, not so great. But their Monday night masterpiece, in which they throttled the Brett Favre led Jets, was a thing of beauty.

This is a very good team and all of a sudden they are playing like it. I’m not sure they will make it to the Super Bowl but they should have no issues handling the Raiders in this game.

Free Prediction Week 4:

The online wager that I’m going to make will be on the San Diego Chargers to cover the – 7 online betting spread but I’m going to spice it up some by playing a parlay. Chargers to the over is what I’m thinking.
