Can You Smell What Boston Is Bruin?

Whatever is happening in Boston is working. They’re averaging 3.06 points per game and allowing only 2.28 behind Tim Thomas’s burly efforts in net. That ranks their defense third in the league. Not bad for a team that was estimated to hover in the doldrums of the NHL

Buffalo was supposed to be one of the better teams in the NHL, especially in the Eastern Conference. Ryan Miller and the Sabres have stumbled to a 1-4 SU record in their past 5 games and have zero momentum heading in to an arena where Boston is undefeated in their last five games at home. With the Sabres 2-4 SU in their last 6 road games, they’re not worth the NHL betting investment tonight against a stunning Bruins team.

Rangers to Turn Tables on Vancouver

Believe it or not, but the Canucks have the historic number of the Rangers. They’re 8-2 SU in their last 10 games against Manhattan’s finest. Trouble with that betting trend is that these two teams are from opposing conferences, so they hardly ever meet. The Rangers are 5-2 SU in their last 7 games at home, and Vancouver is a notoriously horrendous road bet. They’re 2-4 SU in their last 6 road games and aren’t worth the trouble against the East’s reigning beast.

Ducks over Capitals without Semin

Washington is on a fantastic 5-1 SU cruise in their last 6 games, but visiting The Pond is no easy task, especially when it comes to NHL sports betting. The Ducks have stumbled lately, going 2-3 SU in their last 5 games which included three straight home losses. With Beauchemin out with an injury, their already thin blue line is even further depleted. However, that doesn’t mean that the road weary Capitals have the gusto to compete with J.S. Giguere and the formerly-known-as-“Mighty” Ducks.

The Caps are 2-5 SU in their last 7 road games and are 3-8 SU in their last 11 meetings with Anaheim. Without Alexander Semin and Sergei Fedorov, the Caps don’t have the gusto to hang with one of the teams that will contend for the Western Conference Championship by season’s end.

NHL Free Pick: Anaheim -140
