The Sharks are coming with balanced lines – nobody is shining offensively except for Patrick Marleau who has scored in all three games of the series. A stunning 11 San Jose Sharks have at least three points in the first three games of the series! The return of Tomas Hertl to the lineup has done wonders for this team – he seems to solidify the lines and he has two goals already in the series.

Antti Niemi has been good – not great between the pipes for San Jose so far – a 3-0 record with a 2.58 GAA and an OK .912 save percentage. But with the offense clicking as it is, he hasn`t had to be the story – and that`s a good thing for the San Jose Sharks.
The Los Angeles Kings have been forced into playing San Jose`s brand of hockey. For the Kings to win, they have to hope for a 2-1 or 3-2 type of game – that simply isn`t happening in the series. The Kings rely on defense – when the defense in faltering the team suffers.
Just three Kings have three points in the series so far – contrast that with what I mentioned about the Sharks. LA isn`t going to score a lot – the defense absolutely has to shine.
