NFL Week 6 Gambling: Previews, Handicapping ATS Spread Insight

Expert NFL Cappers – Week 6 Projections

The fifth week of the NFL season was a good one for bettors, as a number of public favorites came through and covered the number, including the Packers, Steelers, and Chargers. That means the books are going to want to make that money back on Sunday, which means bettors need to place added importance on preparation entering the weekend as they look for an edge on the books for Week 6.

NFL Gambling – Week 6 Favorites

Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans
Week 6 NFL Spread: Colts -2.5

The Colts have dominated the AFC South since Andrew Luck took over at quarterback, and Thursday’s contest should be no different. The Texans have used a lot of smoke and mirrors to get where they are, and things will finally start catching up with them on Thursday.

Running back Arian Foster has been nursing a sore hamstring and the short week surely won’t be good for that.

Denver Broncos at New York Jets
Week 6 NFL Spread: Broncos -9

The Broncos had some question marks going into the bye, but they showed that those concerns are a thing of the past by beating up on a good if not great Cardinals secondary. Now they get a leaky Jets secondary that won’t know what hit it.

Carolina Panthers at Cincinnati Bengals
Week 6 NFL Spread: Bengals -6.5

The Bengals ran into a buzzsaw on Monday night, going into New England to face a Patriots team that badly needed a win. Now they return home where they’re the ones that dish out the bruises, and they get a Panthers team that has been woefully inconsistent when it comes to moving the football.

San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders
Week 6 NFL Spread: Chargers -7

The Chargers have been one of the most consistent teams in football through the first five weeks of the season, and much of the credit for that belongs on the shoulders of quarterback Philip Rivers, who has heard his name mentioned in MVP talks.

Now that the running game seems to have been figured out for the time being, the Raiders are in big trouble.

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
Week 6 NFL Spread: Eagles -2.5

The Eagles have looked sloppy of late, but even still, the results of their games have been favorable. As for New York, it appears that their recent turnaround could be linked more directly to the class of opponent they’ve faced recently.

[dfads params=’groups=66501&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

The Eagles have been better on the road under Chip Kelly, but they should put on a good show for the home town fans in this one.

NFL Gambling – Week 6 Underdogs

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns
Week 6 NFL Spread: Steelers +2

Ever since the conclusion of the first half of the meeting between these two sides in Week 1, it’s been the Browns who have been the better side. However, coming off a big comeback win, they appear to be in for a letdown in this one.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, an Ohio native, has a terrific record when playing in his home state.

Green Bay Packers at Miami Dolphins
Week 6 NFL Spread: Dolphins +3.5

The Packers have put on a really impressive offensive showing in each of the last two weeks, and have some extra time to prepare for this one, but so too do the Dolphins, who are getting points in this one.

Miami’s defense has been sneaky good this season, and they could be the ones that knock the Packers back down to Earth.

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills
Week 6 NFL Spread: Bills +3.5

As great as the Patriots looked on Monday night, they still haven’t shown that they can play that way on the road just yet. Now they get a Bills team that has been sneaky good, and they get them on a short week.

[dfads params=’groups=63752&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

Buffalo’s defense has been outstanding thus far, and their run game should keep them in this one.

Baltimore Ravens at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 6 NFL Spread: Buccaneers +3.5

For as bad as the Buccaneers have been this season, they’ve been progressing steadily in the right direction since the start of the season. Now with Mike Glennon under center, the offense has been doing a much better job of moving the football with consistency.

As for the Ravens, they’ve been far worse on the road, and Tampa Bay\s Cover-2 defense should limit Joe Flacco’s ability to hit on throws down the field.

San Francisco 49ers at St. Louis Rams
Week 6 NFL Spread: Rams +3.5

This line stinks of a trap, and when a line stinks of a trap, that’s usually because it’s a trap. The Rams get this game with a lot to build on after that fierce comeback against the Philadelphia Eagles, even if they did fall short in the end.

The 49ers haven’t been playing all that well anyways.
