Let’s keep it going with four more games for the start of the 2010 season.

Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills

Sunday, September 12, 1:00 p.m. ET
NFL Sportsbooks favorite: Dolphins -3

Buffalo Bills fans will tell you that they’re optimistic for 2010. After all, the Jets won the AFC East last season after missing the playoffs previous year. In 2008, the Miami Dolphins did the same thing. So 2010 could be the Bills’ turn, right?

Wrong. Buffalo may have drafted dynamic C.J. Spiller to play a hybrid role in the offense but there’s no denying that the Bills have the NFL’s worst line, not to mention one of the worst quarterbacking situations. Buffalo could well be the league’s worst team this season.

That means I’m already pessimistic about the Bills’ Week 1 hopes, even at home. The Bills were the NFL’s second-best team against the pass last year but that stat is misleading. Teams simply didn’t have to pass on them because their run defense was so atrocious. Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown should carve up the Bills and Chad Henne can keep them honest in the passing game now that he has Brandon Marshall.

Pick: Dolphins -3

Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans

Sunday, September 12, 1:00 p.m. ET
NFL Sportsbooks favorite: Colts -3

We can probably expect a shootout when the Colts visit their division rivals, the Houston Texans, during Week 1. We all know what the Colts’ offense can do; the scary part is that, in theory, it should be better in 2010. Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie have a year of experience under their belt and Anthony Gonzalez is back from injury. And those three guys are just half of Peyton Manning’s top six options. He also has Dallas Clark, Reggie Wayne and Joseph Addai.

Even though the Texans have an elite pass rusher on board in Mario Williams, nobody gets to Manning. He was sacked just 10 times all last year.

The Texans should score plenty of points too, as Matt Schaub leads an outstanding passing game and the Colts are still suspect against the run. But Indy always seems to win the close ones against Houston.

Pick: Colts -3

Cleveland Browns @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Sunday, September 12, 1:00 p.m. ET
NFL Sportsbooks favorite: Buccaneers -3

Well, at least we get the Toilet Bowl out of the way in the Week 1 NFL lines, when both teams still have something to play for. The woeful Buccaneers at least have an athletic quarterback to build around in Josh Freeman and, they hope, the next Warren Sapp in Gerald McCoy.

But Tampa doesn’t have much else. Under Mike Holmgren’s guidance, the Browns are slowly piecing together a competent team. Scott Fujita, Sheldon Brown and eventually first-rounder Joe Haden could strengthen the defense.

Jake Delhomme at least probably isn’t a downgrade at quarterback and the two-headed monster of Montario Hardesty and Jerome Harrison could surprise running behind a respectable offensive line.

Call me crazy but I see a minor upset for the deeper Browns.

Pick: Browns +3

Carolina Panthers @ New York Giants

Sunday, September 12, 1:00 p.m. ET
NFL Sportsbooks favorite: Giants -7

Hmm. It’s always risky to bet against the Giants’ Week 1 NFL lines at home. But is the seven-point spread a bit too big?

The Giants should score plenty this year. Eli Manning is taking care of the ball better and has his strongest receiving corps ever around him. Brandon Jacobs is also poised for a bounce back season if he stays healthy. But I’m not sure if the Giants’ “D” will be too ferocious anymore. The interior is old – starting Keith Bulluck at middle linebacker?! – and could get carved up against a strong running team.

Enter the Carolina Panthers, who plan to run opponents into the ground with DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. Sure, Matt Moore is a question mark, but he quietly threw for eight scores and no picks his last four starts of the season.

I think the Panthers will score enough to make this game a naillbiter.

Pick: Panthers +7
