The Denver offense has been all we hoped it would be. Peyton Manning has had plenty of fun with his new toys, throwing for a dozen touchdowns through only three games.

Denver had no trouble with Oakland on Monday night. Peyton Manning was near-perfect, completing 32 of 37 passes for 374 yards and three scores without a pick. His rating in the game was a whopping 135.8. His big-three receivers combined for 25 receptions, with Demaryius Thomas leading the way in that category, bringing in 10 balls for 94 yards.

Eric Decker had himself a day as well, hauling in eight balls for 133 yards and a score. The team also had a fine time rushing the football, racking up 164 yards and an average of 4.7 yards per carry. Ronnie Hillman had the fewest touches of all the backs but the most yards, turning his 10 touches into 78 yards and a score.

The Denver defense gave Oakland a ton of trouble, virtually taking away the running game. Darren McFadden was limited to just nine yards on 12 carries. Terrelle Pryor was able to have some success through the air, completing 19 of 28 passes for 281 yards and a score. The unit will be a little better prepared for any trick plays Chip Kelly might want to throw at them after getting beat for a 16-yard touchdown pass by McFadden. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

The Eagles lead all of football in rushing yards, racking up 209 of them on a per game basis. 264 of them came last Thursday against the Chiefs, many of them on a 61-yard rush by Michael Vick. The team was able to rack up yards, but they did have trouble finding the endzone against Kansas City, scoring only 16 points against the Chiefs. LeSean McCoy led the offense, compiling 158 yards and a score on the ground. Vick had a good day himself, throwing for 201 yards and running for 99 yards more, although he only completed 13 of 30 passes and fired a couple interceptions.

The Eagle defense has been downright terrible, as expected, though they did a reasonably good job against Kansas City. That could be partially because of the fact that the game was played on a Thursday, but there’s no doubt that they’ll be in for a much tougher ride against a Denver offense that hasn’t had any trouble ripping opposing defenses apart.

The over is 4-1 in Denver’s last five games played in the month of September.

The play: Over 57.5
