Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns Preview

On the season the Steelers are 2-3 ATS and they have an O/U record of 3-2 and the Browns are 2-0-2 ATS and they have an Under record of 4-0.

This season the Browns are 1-1 at home and the Steelers are 2-1 on the road.

In their last games the Browns beat the Tennessee Titans 29-28 and the Steelers beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 17-9.

The Browns are coming off a HUGE comeback win and they not can get some payback against a Steelers team that beat in them in the season opener. In the Sunday win over Tennessee the Browns made NFL history by coming back from 25 points down on the road to get the W. They not can get over .500 with a win over the Steelers and both teams need a win to keep pace with the 3-1 Bengals in the AFC North.

The Steelers rank in the top 8 in the league in both pass and run offense and will face a Cleveland defense that ranks 28th in the league defending the pass and 30th defending the run.

Brian Hoyer struggled for most of the first half in the comeback win over the Titans, but blew up in the 2nd half and for the game passed for nearly 300 yards with 3 TD. He is getting by with a less than stellar WR corps, but lead receiver Andrew Hawkins is getting it done and is averaging 19.4 yards per catch. The Steelers rank 11th in the league in pass defense and they did hold the Jaguars to under 190 passing yards, but it is the Jags.

Where the Browns have been solid this season is running the ball with the league’s 4th ranked rushing offense.

The Steelers’ defense has been good this season, but their offense has played well ranking in the top 8 in the league in passing and rushing yards per game. Ben Roethlisberger has not been picked off in his last 3 games and the struggling Cleveland pass D has to really about WR Antonio Brown, who has over 500 receiving yards and is averaging 15 yards per catch.

After having major issues running the ball last season Pittsburgh has a legit ground attack this season with Le’Veon Bell, who ranks 2nd in the league in rushing yards, and LeGarrette Blount. Each of these RB’s is averaging over 5 yards per carry.

Even in the win over the Titans last week the Browns gave up 149 yards, but most of those yards came on a 75-yard run.

Cappers NFL Free 4* Pick

The Browns narrowly lost to the Steelers in the season opener in Pittsburgh, but even at home in this game they will lose again. Big Ben will have a good game and the Steelers’ offense will be too much for the Cleveland defense to handle.
