Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts Preview

On the season the Jaguars are 2-7-1 ATS and they have an O/U record of 6-4 and the Colts are 7-3 ATS and they have an O/U record of 8-2.

This season the Colts are 3-2 at home and the Jaguars are 0-5 on the road.

In their last games the Colts lost to the New England Patriots 42-20 and the Jaguars lost to the Dallas Cowboys 31-17.

While the Colts are still the only team in the AFC South with a winning record they have lost 2 of their last 3 games and lost badly at home in their last one. However, they are BIG betting favorite facing the 1-win Jags’ team that is 0-5 on the road this season.

It is no surprise that the Jags only have 1 win, as their offense is pretty weak and their D ranks 26th in the league against both the pass and the run. In this game they will face Andrew Luck and the Indy pass attack that is the top-ranked unit in the NFL.

I mean the Colts are only giving 13.5 points? Earlier this season in Jacksonville the Colt crushed the Jags 44-17 with Luck passing for 370 yards with 4 TD.

Is Blake Bortles the answer for the Jags at the QB position? He has 14 INT and only 8 TD and he only has one game this season where he has more TD’s than INT’s. He has passed for over 220 yards in each of his last 3 games and Allen Robinson and Allen Hurts have over 1,000 combined receiving yards this season with 7 TD.

One bright sport for the Jags is that Denard Robinson has taken the reigns as the main back and has been playing well.

The Colts only rank 27th in the league in pass D and their 17th ranked run defense was shredded last week by New England’s Marcus Gray, who scored 4 TD and rushed for 199 yards.

Can the Jags keep Luck from lighting up the scoreboard? Well, they could not do it at home in Week 3 and things don’t look good this Sunday on the road. T.Y. Holton and Reggie Wayne are both putting up big numbers and to keep that from happening Jacksonville has to really have a good game with the pass rush, which ranks 7th in the league in sacks.

Trent Richardson has been a major bust so far in his young NFL career, but he is the #1 RB again since Indy’s leading RB Ahmad Bradshaw is out for the season with an injury.
