Indianapolis Colts vs. Dallas Cowboys

On the season the Colts are 9-4-1 ATS and they have an O/U record of 9-5 and the Cowboys are 8-6 ATS and they have an Under record of 8-5-1.

This season the Cowboys are 3-4 at home and the Colts are 4-2 on the road.

In their last games the Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-27 and the Colts beat the Houston Texans 17-10.

The Cowboys are coming off a HUGE win where they took over first place in the NFC East and they can win the division if they win out. However, while they are a 3-point favorite in this game all of their losses have come at home this season and they may be without their best player in RB DeMarco Murray.

The Colts already have the AFC South wrapped up and with losses to New England and Denver it is very unlikely they will get a bye in the first round of the playoffs.

Still, there is a chance, so they will be at full strength and Indy is not only 4-2 on the road this season, but they are riding a 4-game winning streak.

Andrew Luck did not have a big game facing an in form Texans’ defense last week, but he leads the league’s top-ranked passing offense. He has the weapons on the outside with the likes of Hakeem Nicks, Reggie Wayne, and T.Y Hilton and may create major problems for a Dallas pass defense that only ranks 23rd in the league.

The Cowboys and their 17th ranked run defense played well last week in containing LeSean McCoy.

Indy RB Daniel Herron has played well in 2 of the last 3 games taking touches from the ineffective Trent Richardson. He will get his chances in this game facing a Dallas D that will be focusing on the pass.

One of the main reasons the Cowboys are in first place in the NFC East is the play of DeMarco Murray. He leads the league in rushing yards, but he recently underwent hand surgery and is unlikely to go in this game. That will put that much more pressure on Tony Romo, who has not had to put up big numbers since Murray has been a stud.

If Murray cannot go Joseph Randle will man the rushing duties.

Indy has a mediocre defense that ranks 19th in the league defending the pass and 16th defending the run.

NFL Week 16 Betting Trends

* Indianapolis is 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games overall.
* Indianapolis is 0-3-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
* Indianapolis has an Over record of 6-1 in their last 7 road games.
* Dallas is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games.
* Dallas has an Under record of 3-1-1 in their last 5 home games.

4* Cappers NFL Free Pick

I don’t think Murray will go in this game and that makes the Cowboys a different team. The Colts have won 4 straight and I think they will give Dallas a very close game. They may not win in the Big D, but they will cover the 3-point spread.
