Arizona Cardinals vs. Denver Broncos

On the season the Cardinals are 2-1 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 0-3 and the Broncos are also at 0-3 ATS with an Over/Under record of 1-2.

The Broncos are 2-0 at home this season and the Cardinals are 1-0 on the road.

Both of these teams are coming off a bye last week and in their last games the Cardinals beat the San Francisco 49ers 23-14 and the Broncos lost to the Seattle Seahawks 26-20 in OT.

The Cardinals are at 3-0 and atop the NFC West? They have done so with their solid defensive play and they have not played cream pulls either with 2 of their 3 wins coming against teams that made the post-season last year.

The Broncos are at 2-1 and are in 2nd place in the AFC West, but they have not looked great. Peyton Manning has been solid, but not great and in the loss to Seattle he did lead a late drive to force OT, but only had 2 TD and 1 INT. Emmanuel Sanders leads the team in receiving yards and has more than twice as many as the next leading target in TE Julius Thomas. The Cardinals only rank 18th in pass defense, but they have kept opposing teams from making big plays down the field.

One reason the Broncos are struggling some is that the run game has not been there. Montee Ball has not gotten it done and he only has 165 yards on a 3.4 per carry average on the season.

He will have a hard time getting back on track facing a great Arizona run defense that ranks 4th in the league. Last week Ball and the Denver rushing offense gained a grand total of 36 yards on the ground.

The Arizona defense will have to play well considering their offense is a less than dynamic one. QB Carson Palmer has missed the last 2 games, but is slated to return for this one even though backup Drew Stanton played well in his absence.

WR Michael Floyd is one player the Broncos and their secondary has to worry about, as he is averaging over 22 yards per catch this season. Speaking of the Denver secondary their pass defense ranks 2nd to last in the league.

While not putting up great numbers RB Andre Ellington has played well and is also a pass catching threat out of the backfield. He has to help Palmer out and will face a decent Broncos’ run defense that gave up 129 rushing yards in the Seattle loss last week.

Cappers NFL Free 4* Pick

Yeah, Denver has not covered so far this season, but that will change, as Manning will light up the Cardinals and the Broncos will easily win and cover the spread.
