Week 14 NFL Betting Parlay – Raiders vs. Jets, Chiefs vs. Redskins

NFL Parlay of the Week

The dogs carved-out a slight 8-7-1 edge over the favorites against the spread last week in the NFL but the best action was on the total line. The total stayed UNDER the closing line in 10 of the 16 games on Week 13’s slate.

Turning to this week in the NFL, I have already been hard at work pouring over the numbers for all the matchups and I am ready to release the two picks for this week’s parlay based on lines provided by [dfads params=’groups=63740&limit=1&return_javascript=0′].

Game 1- Oakland Raiders vs. New York Jets

Pointspread: New York -1.5
Total Line: 40.5

Terrelle Prior started the season at quarterback and after he got hurt the reins have been handed over to Matt McGloin, but the overall results remain the same. The Raiders are ranked 28th in the NFL in passing and 22nd in total yards (331.3).

Given the offense’s struggles to move the ball it is little surprise that it averaging just 19.8 points a game.

New York’s playoff chances have taken a serious hit ever since a Week 10 bye with three straight losses by a combined 59 points while scoring a grand total of just 20 points. Things got so bad in last Sunday’s 23-3 loss to Miami that rookie quarterback Geno Smith was benched in favor of Matt Sims.

It is hard to say which team comes out on top in this grinder, but I am confident that the total line is set high enough to keep this game UNDER 40.5 points.

Game 2- Kansas City Chiefs vs. Washington Redskins

Pointspread: Kansas City -3
Total Line: 44.5

ATS Matchup Stats | NFL Gambling Insight!

Kansas City’s current three-game slide consists of two losses to Denver and a loss to San Diego so it may be a Godsend that Andy Reid’s team is playing someone from his old stomping grounds.

The Chiefs have already beaten the other three teams from the NFC East this season and this Sunday they will be going for a sweep against the weakest member of an already weak division.

The Redskins’ current form points to their current four-game losing streak dragging on for at least one more week. Robert Griffin III continues to struggle under center and the defense continues to give-up points in bunches.

This unit has been ranked near the bottom of the league in points allowed with a season average of 30.2. The problem during this four-game slide has been an offense that has only been able to generate an average of 16.5 points a game.

This all adds up a Chiefs’ victory that easily covers the spread behind a shutdown defense and a heavy dose of Jamaal Charles running the ball.
