And although being able to move the football —  averaging 459 yards per game — the Eagles are  struggling to put points up on the scoreboard — 24 points per game.

The troubles begin with quarterback Michael Vick who has completed just 55 percent of his passes with five touchdowns and two interceptions. But in all fairness, he has been sacked 14 times.

One area Vick has had a little success, however, is running the ball. So far this season, he has rushed for 228 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, the Eagles are hurting, allowing a No. 31 ranked 35 points per game and a NFL worst 447 yards per game with two interceptions 10 sacks and four fumble recoveries.

That could be just the weakness that Giants will look to expose, as they try to get their season back on track.

New York’s offense is atrocious, with quarterback Eli Manning being the team’s biggest disappointment. Manning has completed just 56 percent of his passes with six touchdowns and a whopping nine interceptions while being sacked 14 times. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

And it gets worse.

The Giants’ offense is averaging just 15 points and 325 yards per game and has scored just seven total points in their last two contests.

The running game has been awful too, averaging just three yards per carry and producing only one rushing touchdown on the season.

The lone bright spot for the G-Men is wide receiver Victor Cruz, who leads the team’s receiving corps with 26 catches and four touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the defense allows an NFL worst 37 points on 384 yards per game with four interceptions, four sacks and three fumble recoveries.

Matt’s Free Prediction

The Giants season is quickly getting away from them, and that means desperation. That often times leads to costly mistakes, which includes bad penalties and turnovers.

Add the combined pressure of an antsy hometown crowd, and one turnover will be the difference in this one.

Eagles squeak out a close one on the road.

Eagles 17, Giants 14.
