Oakland

A few years ago it would have been unheard of for a team to go winless in a 16 game schedule but the Lions did it and now I think the Raiders have a great chance too. In looking at their schedule this might be as good a chance as any to avoid that fate because anything can happen when the Cleveland Browns are involved.

Still that doesn’t put this one anywhere close to a probable outcome. The Raiders built a terrible roster and the results are coming to fruition.

The Raiders have little to hang their hat on this season. Last year they were a productive running team but that seems to have run dry this year, even though they brought in MJD in the offseason – is it possible this team was better with Terrelle Pryor at QB.

On defense things are a little better with rookie Khalil Mack looking more like the real deal.

Cleveland

It is typical Cleveland to win a couple of games in a row and provide some hope only to then lose to Jacksonville, in a game that was pretty pathetic – no wonder the chants for Maziel are getting louder. That win would have made them a contender in the division and with their schedule they might have been able to extend that for another month or so.

Instead we are wondering whether it might be possible to lose back to back games to winless teams.

Manziel or not the Browns should get this thing done on Sunday and get back to a winning record. I think he will play but they won’t need him provided their defense continues to play solid. I would love to see more from them offensively but again this week they can get by.

Jordan Cameron needs to be more involved though. He only has 10 catches this season.
