The Colts have been getting it done on both sides of the ball but make no mistake about it, the Colts’ offense will be the determining factor Sunday.

Colts

The Indianapolis Colts are 5-0 SU and ATS in their last five games – as good a team as there has been the last month. You can thank Andrew Luck for the Colts’ emergence as one of the contenders in the AFC – he is the top passer in the NFL so far this season averaging 326 yards per game and having thrown 19 TDs already.

TY Hilton is ascending into that elite category of pass catchers, the tight end duo has done its part and Ahmad Bradshaw has turned into a terrific receiving weapon for Luck. The Steelers pass defense hasn’t been great this year – expect Luck to dominate.

Indianapolis has steadily improved its running game as the season has worn on and now the Colts are not only potent but they are very well rounded. The Colts are coming off 171 yards rushing against Cincinnati and have rushed for over 125 yards in three of their last five games.

Defensively the Colts have been a very nice surprise. They shut the Bengals out last week allowing just 135 yards and the Colts have averaged a very good three sacks per game.

Indianapolis gets a crack at an offensive line that is having problems protecting Ben Roethlisberger once again – they could be dominant just like they were last week.

Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off an impressive win Monday night – but they were held down except for a 24 point outburst in a three minute stretch during the game. Pittsburgh was very opportunistic in the game and took advantage of every opportunity afforded them in the win.

Ben Roethlisberger continues to be the foundation of the Steelers offense shrugging off constant pressure and succeeding despite being under duress every time he touches the ball. Pittsburgh’s offense has shown the ability to score points – unfortunately the Pittsburgh defense has given up a ton of yards and points so far this season.

You know things aren’t going great when a former coach calls you soft – that’s just what Bill Cowher did to his former team. It’s true – no team is afraid to play Pittsburgh anymore – the intimidation factor is gone particularly on the defensive side of the ball. Teams are throwing at will on the Steelers and having their way in the running game as well – not exactly what we expect from a Steelers team.

Needless to say Pittsburgh will have to score points on Sunday in order to keep up. LeVeon Bell, who is second in yards from scrimmage and Antonio Brown who is second in the NFL in receiving are fine weapons for Big Beg.

The problem lies with a lack of depth and an unflattering offensive line – if Ben is running for his life, he can’t expect to get the ball to his playmakers.

NFL Week 8 Betting Trends

• Over is 7-2 in IND last 9 games overall.
• Over is 6-2 in IND last 8 vs. AFC.
• IND are 23-8 ATS in their last 31 vs. AFC.
• Under is 7-1 in PIT last 8 games in October.
• PIT are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games in October.
• Over is 7-3 in PIT last 10 games on grass.

The Colts have been a tad careless with the ball – 11 turnovers so far this season. More turnovers is the only way Indy loses this game.

NFL Week 8 Betting Prediction

Look for the Colts to march up and down the field as per usual and for their defense to continue to ride a wave of confidence they gained last week against Cincinnati. Indy is just too hot right now to bet against!
