Miami was at home last week and beat the Patriots (33-20). Buffalo was an even bigger surprise, as they went on the road to Soldiers Field and beat the Bears in OT (23-20). The Bills played great in week 1.

Buffalo played well most of the game against Chicago except for the 3rd quarter. The Bills had a 17-7 lead at halftime, but the Bears tied it up by the end of Q3.

Buffalo ended strong to end up with the win.

They easily could have folded like most big underdogs do on the road, but they didn’t. Chicago gained 427 total yards on offense, most of which came through the air (341), but turnovers hurt them.

The Bills forced three turnovers and they’ll like be able to add to that tally, as the Dolphins had problems protecting the football last week.

Miami had three turnovers last week while their defense forced two.

Miami was able to hold the Patriots to 315 total yards. The Dolphins run game looks like it could be one of the best in the NFL as well. Knowshon Moreno had 134 yards on the ground along with 1 TD.

As a team the Dolphins gained 191 rushing yards. Buffalo held Matt Forte to 82 yards on 17 carries and at home they’ll be tough to run on.

Buffalo is also a run first team and picked up 193 rushing yards in W1.

Both the Dolphins and Bills allowed their opponent to average 4.0 YPC last week, but I’d say that the Bills had the much tougher match-up with Forte in Chicago. I give the edge to the Bills in the run game.

Ryan Tannehill and E.J. Manuel both have improvements to make after last week.

Tannehill completed 18/32 passes for 178 yards, 2 TD’s and 1 INT while Manuel went 16/22 for 173 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT.

Free NFL Pick: Dolphins vs. Bills

Buffalo has gone 3-1 (3-1 ATS) in the last two years against the Dolphins. The Bills beat the Dolphins in Miami (23-21) and in Buffalo (19-0) last season. I’m betting on them to win at home again this year.

Miami is actually getting most of the action at the betting window. The Dolphins are receiving a lot of praise for beating the Pats at home, but the Bills win over the Bears is being discounted.

4* Play on Buffalo Bills PK (-110)

These two AFC East rivals know each other well and this will likely be a close game, but I’m going to side with the home team at a PK. I’m surprised that the spread isn’t –2.5 to –3 points in favor of Buffalo.
