The Indianapolis Colts host the Baltimore Ravens at Lucas Oil Stadium in Week 5 of the NFL season on Sunday. The Colts have one back-to-back games in decisive fashion after dropping their first two contests of the season, while the Ravens have won three straight since dropping their opener.

The Ravens may be known for their defense, but it’s the team’s offense that has carried it to three consecutive wins. Even with a two-point victory over the Cleveland Browns, the Ravens have still posted a margin of victory of 17.3 points thanks to a pair of blowout victories.

Big credit goes to the team’s passing attack. Quarterback Joe Flacco threw for 327 yards and three touchdowns against the Carolina Panthers a week ago in a 38-10 thrashing. Long time Panther Steve Smith enjoyed his reunion with his former team of 13 seasons, hauling in seven passes for 139 yards.

The team’s ground game was also firing on all cylinders. Running backs Justin Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro combined to rack up 124 yards on 29 carries, with each scoring a touchdown. The team totaled 454 yards of offense in that one, a season-high.

The Colts are coming off a pretty convincing win of their own. Just a week after routing the Jacksonville Jaguars 44-17, the Colts beat up on the Titans to the tune of a 41-17 final last Sunday. Quarterback Andrew Luck threw for 393 yards and four touchdowns – his second consecutive four-touchdown effort. Luck’s 13 passing touchdowns paced the NFL through the season’s first four games.

Wide receivers Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton each went over 100 yards receiving for the day. Running back Ahmad Bradshaw continued his red zone effectiveness, bringing in his fourth receiving touchdown of the season.

Free Indianapolis vs. Baltimore Pick:

The Ravens have struggled mightily on the road in recent years. They were able to eke out a victory over the Browns in Cleveland, but they certainly didn’t impress in that one. Now they get a Colts team that has been strong at home with Andrew Luck, and are only getting a hair more than a field goal from oddsmakers.

Additionally, the Colts’ defense hasn’t exactly been a second coming of the Steel Curtain. The Ravens have been able to move the ball through the air when need be, and the Colts certainly have been effective at finishing when inside the red zone, so expect to see some points in this one.

The Colts are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 home games, while the Ravens are 1-8 ATS in the last nine meetings between these teams.

The over is 6-0 in the Colts last six games overall, and it is 4-1 in the Ravens’ last five road games.
