Seattle
The Seahawks came into the season as a champion with a great opportunity to defend their crown. To some this might have seemed like an inevitability but a loss at San Diego proved that they are going to have to work for it.

That set up a Super Bowl rematch with Denver, which was tight, however the win allowed the team to take a deep breath and just play football. As a result I think we are going to see the Seahawks best game of the season on Monday night…sorry Washington.
Washington has been putting up good numbers but they haven’t faced a team with a secondary like Seattle’s. The defense will lead the way for the Seahawks in this one and Russell Wilson will also have his first really good game of the season.
It is not that he has been playing bad but he has barely been averaging 200 yards per game. The off week will reveal some wrinkles that will yield some big plays.

Washington
Whatever hope Washington had for a rebound season seems to be slipping away. They might have thought they had an excuse with Robert Griffin being hurt but backup Kirk Cousins has been playing so well it would seem a little convenient to blame it on that.
Oddly when you look at the numbers you see a team that is in the top 8 in yards gained and yards allowed. That would normally lead to a better record but this franchise may be a bit snakebit. Nevertheless this weekend doesn’t exactly look like the time they will break out.
To have a chance against the Seahawks the Redskins should go a little more ground heavy.
I know that Seattle has a strong D but I still think you want to limit the number of possessions the Seahawks are going to have. Plus there is no way the Skins can win if they are one dimensional.
They need to run well to set up the play action game and take some of the steam out of the rush. Cousins is not RGIII.
