So where does each team stand heading into Week 2? Let’s take a look.

1. Seahawks (1-0)

Any questions about the defending champs were answered in spades Thursday night – they manhandled a good Packers team and sit atop the Rankings for a reason – they’re darn good! There are zero holes on the Hawks – insane.

2. Broncos (1-0)

The Colts played the Broncos tough but in the end the former champs emerged. Denver’s much maligned defense was challenged in the end and passed the test – we all know what Peyton and the boys can and will do!

3. 49ers (1-0)

Surprisingly, the 49ers revamped defense was the difference in Week 1 for this team and when it came time for Colin Kaepernick and crew they were efficient and deadly. A poor preseason is a thing of the past for sure – the Niners are for real!

4. Panthers (1-0)

A brand new offensive line and with Derek Anderson in at QB and the Panthers still won against what was supposed to be an improved Tampa squad. The Panthers shut the Bucs out until the fourth quarter proving that Carolina could ride their solid defense a long way.

5. Eagles (1-0)

Spotted the lowly Jaguars a 17 point lead but trusted themselves and confidently scored 34 unanswered points en route to the win. Phili already looks like the class of the NFC East and sneaks into the top 5 this week.

6. Bengals (1-0)

The Bengals looked good against Baltimore – the offense did their thing and the defense, outside of one play to Steve Smith was as advertised. If Andy Dalton has indeed taken that next step, the Bengals are poised to rise in the Rankings soon.

7. Dolphins (1-0)

This is as big a surprise as any but the Fins, off a wonderful defensive effort are deserving of a top 10 spot. Miami absolutely stifled Brady and the boys in the second half of their game – impressive indeed.

8. Falcons (1-0)

Atlanta may not have the best defense but if the offense continues to play like they did Sunday this team is poised to be the biggest come-back of the year. The Falcons scored on seven of their last nine drives – a healthy Julio Jones, Roddy White and Steven Jackson loom large in the NFC South.

9. Saints (0-1)

New Orleans gave up an astounding 568 yards to the buzz-saw that was the Atlanta Falcons. There is still no denying the class on this team – not ready to bump them out of the top 10 yet.

10. Patriots (0-1)

Not ready to give up on the Pats either! We’ll give them a mulligan.

11. Colts (0-1)

Ditto for the Colts – any time you have Andrew Luck, you belong in Dave B’s dirty dozen! No shame in losing to the Broncos in Week 1, especially the way they came back and made a game of it.

12. Vikings (1-0)

Absolutely ate up a pretty good defense in St. Louis. Cordarrelle Patterson is a difference maker – a terrific weapon for a team that could surprise this year.

  • 13. Packers (0-1)
  • 14. Lions (1-0)
  • 15. Cardinals (1-0)
  • 16. Bears (0-1)
  • 17. Titans (1-0)
  • 18. Chargers (0-1)
  • 19. Steelers (1-0)
  • 20. Ravens (0-1)
  • 21. Jets (1-0)
  • 22. Bills (1-0)
  • 23. Buccaneers (0-1)
  • 24. Texans (1-0)
  • 25. Chiefs (0-1)
  • 26. Cowboys (0-1)
  • 27. Browns (0-1)
  • 28. Jaguars (0-1)
  • 29. Giants (0-1)
  • 30. Rams (0-1)
  • 31. Redskins (0-1)
  • 32. Raiders (0-1)
