2013 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Complete Season Schedule | Handicapping

Bucs Schedule – NFL Football

Next up. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers. One of my favorite tools in preparing for the 2013 NFL football season and to enhance your nfl wagering knowledge is to look ahead at each teams NFL schedule, and evaluate the games they will play.

2013 Regular Season Opponents

Sun, Sept. 8 @ N.Y. Jets Quarterback Josh Freeman, RB Doug Martin and WR Vincent Jackson give Tampa a superb offensive triumvirate; a road game against the lowly Jets could be a decent recipe for starting 2013 out in a positive way.

Sun, Sept. 15 NEW ORLEANS Getting the Saints in the familiar confines of Raymond James Stadium is a fair start to the regular season’s divisional slate. This could be a high-scoring contest.

Sun, Sept. 22 @ New England Squaring off against legendary pivot Tom Brady at Foxboro is never a treat. The Pats may not be infallible like they once were, but they still are a formidable opponent.

Sun, Sept. 29 ARIZONA If the Buccos are serious about challenging Atlanta for the distinction of the NFC South’s best, they must win games against lukewarm challengers like the Cardinals.

Sun, Oct. 6 BYE

Sun, Oct. 13 PHILADELPHIA If you have to draw an NFC East opponent on the schedule, this is probably the most desirable scenario. I don’t even think the Eagles know what kind of identity they have; that should bode well for T-Bay.

Sun, Oct. 20 @ Atlanta It will be stern game faces across the board during this important divisional game. Tampa’s strong rush-D should be able to stifle the running game, but what are they going to do about QB Matt Ryan and WRs Julio Jones and Roddy White?

Thurs, Oct. 24 CAROLINA Short rest after the Falcons trench warfare is tough, but Tampa Bay has to like its odds against Cam Newton and the visiting Panthers.

Sun, Nov. 3 @ Seattle There are a couple of college venues with the nickname “Death Valley”; if one existed in the big leagues, it’d likely be in the Emerald City. Needless to say, tough road game. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Mon, Nov. 11 MIAMI You’ve gotta like a primetime match-up against in-state rivals. The truth of the matter is that the Dolphins haven’t seen much fame and adulation since Ace Ventura: Pet Detective rolled through town (note: that was a long-ass time ago).

Sun, Nov. 17 ATLANTA Strange enough with a 13-3 team last year, but the Falcons defense can be capitalized on. The Bucs’ much-improved offense will have to do this profoundly if they intend to beat the Falcons.

Sun, Nov. 24 @ Detroit A late-autumn game indoors at Ford Field is nice for a team from an agreeable clime like Tampa Bay. The fact the Buccaneers are playing Detroit doesn’t hurt, either.

Sun, Dec. 1 @ Carolina Cam Newton, DeAngelo Williams and Martin could collectively run for a country mile in this one.

Sun, Dec. 8 BUFFALO Again, getting the Bills in Florida instead of western New York is an undeniable stroke of luck. Further good news: the Bills run the ball better than they throw it, and that is the area of strength for Tampa’s defense.

Sun, Dec. 15 SAN FRANCISCO There are just too many impact players on both sides of the ball for San Fran – the Bucs shouldn’t feel very confident going into this game.

Sun, Dec. 22 @ St. Louis Another indoor stadium in November/December for the Bucs? The schedule gods are looking down kindly on this franchise in 2013.

Sun, Dec. 29 @ New Orleans If one of the other NFC South teams figures out how to deal with Atlanta this season, it’s probably going to be either Tampa Bay or New Orleans. Hence, this could be a season-ending game with some bona fide implications.
