2013 Indianapolis Colts Complete Season Schedule | Handicapping

Colts Schedule – NFL Football

Next up. The Indianapolis Colts. One of my favorite tools in preparing for the 2013 NFL football season and to enhance your nfl wagering knowledge is to look ahead at each teams NFL schedule, and evaluate the games they will play.

2013 Regular Season Opponents

Sun, Sep 8 vs Oakland – Not the toughest opening game for the Colts facing an Oakland team that has an unsettled QB position and many issues on the defensive side of the ball. The Raiders only won 1 away game last season.

Sun, Sep 15 vs Miami – Andrew Luck and the Colts have their 2nd home game to begin the season and while the Dolphins have major issues at the RB position they have a good run defense. However, Luck may torch the Miami pass defense that only ranked 27th last season.

Sun, Sep 22 @ San Francisco – Very tough first away game facing the defending NFC champion 49ers. Not only does San Fran have a great defense, but also their offense is solid as well and not good since the Colts have many issues on defense.

Sun, Sep 29 @ Jacksonville – The Colts easily beat the Jags on the road last season. Blaine Gabbert has been named the starter for Jacksonville, but will he last until Week 4?

Sun, Oct 6 vs Seattle – Hosting Seattle is a tough match up and the big question in this game is not if Luck can play well against a young and talented Seattle D, but can the Colts’ run defense, which ranked 29th in the league last season, contain RB Marshawn Lynch?

Mon, Oct 14 @ San Diego – Luck and the Colts head to sunny San Diego to take on the Chargers, who have been a disappointment in the last couple of seasons. However, they have a new head coach and a great run defense.

Sun, Oct 20 vs Denver – The Indy pass defense only ranked 21st in the league last season and in this game they face Payton Manning and his 3 WR that each had over 1,000 receiving yards last season.

BYE WEEK

Sun, Nov 3 @ Houston – Nice to have the Texans after the bye week. Last season the Colts lost to the Texans on the road and the dynamic Houston offense is a major concern for the Colts’ defense. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Sun, Nov 10 vs St. Louis – Sam Bradford and the Rams come to Indy and Luck and the Colts’ offense will be facing a decent Rams’ defense that ranked 15th last season against the pass and the run.

Thu, Nov 14 @ Tennessee – The Colts beat the Titans in OT on the road last season, but can their run defense stop Chris Johnson?

Sun, Nov 24 @ Arizona – The Cardinals have a solid pass defense that ranked 5th in the league last season and Luck has his work cut out for him. Is Carson Palmer the answer for the Cardinals on offense?

Sun, Dec 1 vs Tennessee – 2nd time in 3 weeks facing the Titans and last season the Colts only beat them by 4 points at home. Indy RB Vick Ballard had a good outing in that game and the Colts are hoping he can give Luck some help in the offense.

Sun, Dec 8 @ Cincinnati – The Bengals have a solid young team on both sides of the ball and they made the playoffs last season. Indianapolis was only a .500 team on the road last season (4-4).

Sun, Dec 15 vs Houston – This late season game may be a big one since the Texans and the Colts are the 2 teams that may battle it out for the AFC title. The Colts beat the Texans at home in the season finale last season.

Sun, Dec 22 @ Kansas City – The Chiefs have a new head coach and a new QB in Alex Smith and many experts think they may the most improved team in the league. KC RB Jamaal Charles, who ranked 5th in the NFL last season in rushing yards, will test the Colts’ run defense.

Sun, Dec 29 vs Jacksonville – The Colts lost to the Jags at home last season even though Luck passed for 313 yards. Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 177 yards in the game and look for the Jags to run the ball a ton on this season finale.
