Here we go with the Tennessee Titans.
Tennessee Titans Preseason Schedule
Aug. 12-16 at Seattle
Aug. 23 Arizona
Aug. 26-29 at Carolina
Sept. 2-3 New Orleans
2010 Regular Season Opponents
Sun, Sept. 12 OAKLAND – Titans CB Cortland Finnegan shouldn’t make Jason Campbell’s transition easy, and Tennessee can handle everything else on its plate.
Sun, Sept. 19 PITTSBURGH – Our Nashville friends get the Steelers at home, and they get them sans Ben Roethlisberger – two huge pluses.
Sun, Sept. 26 @ New York Giants – I’m sure the Titans would have been just as happy checking out the new Meadowlands from photos rather than going there to play.
Sun, Oct. 3 DENVER – The Titans have a nasty offensive line that should punish the Bronco front seven in the Music City.
Sun, Oct. 10 @ Dallas – The Cowboys have an excellent team in 2010, but they won’t win them all and Tennessee has the kind of punishing run game to wither America’s Team.
Mon, Oct. 18 @ Jacksonville – If Johnson, fresh off a 2,000+ yard performance in ’09, can one up the Jags’ Maurice Jones-Drew, this one is settled.
Sun, Oct. 24 PHILADELPHIA – Philly is in town, but opponents would be wise not to expect any brotherly love, and a lot more on the line than ‘cheese stakes’.
Sun, Oct. 31 @ San Diego – The Titans have the run game to thwart a team like the Chargers, but that doesn’t mean it won’t still be a tall order.
Sun, Nov. 7 BYE
Sun, Nov. 14 @ Miami – It’s never just one guy for Miami, and that’s what the Titans should spend their time strategizing for.
Sun, Nov. 21 WASHINGTON – A veteran iconic African-American pivot against a youthful iconic African-American pivot, both with their imperfections and hurdles in their respective careers. It’s a storyline.
Sun, Nov. 28 @ Houston – Expect Titans CB Rod Hood to be victimized early and often. He better eat his Wheaties before this one; the unsettling thing is Texans WR Andre Johnson might be on the box.
Sun, Dec. 5 JACKSONVILLE – Back-to-back important divisional games, but whether it’s riding momentum or avenging the week early, I don’t see Tennessee slipping here.
Thurs, Dec. 9 INDIANAPOLIS – The divisional party continues with this game against divisional head honcho Indy, and on short rest at that.
Sun, Dec. 19 HOUSTON – The gauntlet continues. If there’s any silver lining here, the three toughest consecutive challenges are at home for the Titans.
Sun, Dec 26 @ Kansas City – In today’s NFL, the Titans can’t perceive this match-up as too much of a breather, or they’ll be sent home licking their wounds.
Sun, Jan. 2 @ Indianapolis – A fitting end to a season where the Colts are the divisional elite until someone – we’re looking at you, Titans or Texans – proves otherwise.
